Blocking serves several purposes, none of which should matter to the person being blocked, because everyone here is a stranger. Who cares what a stranger’s reason is for blocking you? If you are that offended by being denied access to a stranger, then you have issues that cuddling can never address.
And yes, there are those who I have met in person from this site who are no longer strangers. None of them have blocked me, nor have I blocked them. Instead I use their pic as a dart board to settle my grievances.

I saw one person say they block based on availability. Availability changes and sometimes what is on people's profiles are preferred hours. So to me, it doesn't make sense but blocks rarely make sense.
I've been blocked a few times probably for being a pro but I rarely ever block anyone myself.

@LadyVel this is funny. I just got blocked. I am assuming for being a pro. I reach out to everyone that views my profile with a friendly hello, etc. He responds back I only cuddle with enthusiasts (even though my message says "no need to reply if not interested"). BLOCKED I just found it interesting as I am not in the business of messaging people repeatedly after I don't get a response.
I'm definitely new here and based on what I'm reading it seems that blocking people or being blocked seems to be a part of the norm. Call me old fashioned but I very rarely block anyone so to me it's only been used as a means to get a nuisance off of your back, at least how it would be in other social media sites like Facebook, X, Instagram and the like.
I've been blocked plenty of times and I wear it as a badge of honor on X because it's a sign of me winning a debate/argument. 😅I'm fairly tolerant so you would have to work my nerves to the last vein to get me to block you and even so, why would I do that when I can just simply ignore you? So yeah basically the block method has only been an option to me strictly on confrontational terms. Never thought of any rhyme or reason for it to be used outside of that but that's just me.
At first, I was surprised to get blocked after very kind conversations. however, after seeing some reviews on this pro cuddler, I’m glad that she chose to block me.
I'm literally so utterly tired of the emotional immaturity of so many on this site...
Here's something that I'm puzzled by on blocking - I'll sometimes go click on a profile displayed on the 'recently online' section, and I'll get a message saying that the person has blocked me. If I'm blocked, then why does the profile show up in such places where I can see it?

so... 🤣🤣 a serious comment about blocking. I accidentally discovered the following and I am not sure who else is aware or notice this: As I was browsing the forum on my cell earlier, I was fat-finger clicking profiles and landed on someone's profile who I know has me blocked. apparently, I was not logged in at that time. Point it, depends on your reason for blocking and if one of the reasons is not wanting the person to see your profile, I recommend you opt to allowing your profile to be viewed only by other CC members, otherwise a person you have blocked can view your profile if they click on your username in the chats while they are not logged in. I don't even know what my set up is which kind of shows how little I care, but just giving a heads up to those who take blocking not as lightly as I am.
Haha @Sooson I had to double check because you had just viewed me. I didn’t think I had ever blocked you. I hadn’t. We’re good. My memory has really declined in the last 6 months and it’s alarming. In fact, I have gone through the neurological testing and get my results Thursday. (Scary!) If I’ve blocked someone in the past, I probably don’t remember why and I apologize. If someone here has blocked me, that’s fine, it doesn’t bother me, here’s a 🤗 anyway. 😊

So far I've only found 2 people that blocked me. There could be many more I'm sure. 😄
One of the two blocked me in retaliation for blocking them. The person was acting suspiciously & I told them why I was going to block them ahead of time.
I usually give the person a heads up & reason for blocking unless it's a serious issue that needs reporting asap. Then I just block & report without warning.
The other people I block are ghosters because I don't want to waste my time if they aren't interested. I give plenty of time for them to respond & if I don't hear back I block, delete, & move on.
It says that circumventing a block will result in a permanent ban. What if you don't know you're blocked by somebody and talk to them in the forums? You don't know you've been blocked unless you try clicking on their profile.

@MTex Thank you! Actually I’m not too worried and I feel like my memory issues are somewhat normal for my age? My audiologist is the one who thought I needed cognitive testing because of results from a hearing test.
Something to think about, she is in her mid 30s and already wearing hearing aids because of concerts and loud music. She said she’s had a dramatic increase in young patients with hearing loss. (Mine is genetic)
@Mike403 Since it is well known that the block does have an effect on the chat, I would assume talking to someone in the chat is not considered circumventing the block. I occasionally exchange comments with someone here who has me blocked and I have no problem talking to them or with them addressing me here despite the fact they have me blocked. it doesn't bother me at all. If the mods don't want you to talking to someone here they will let you know.

@g_w_t_w that's crazy that concerts could cause that much damage. I guess that might be my problem. The hearing in my right ear isn't great. I spent all my teenage years & 20s at concerts. I remember a thread on here talking about that same issue. 🙉
FWIW, I sometimes block men preemptively cos I don’t want to deal with men who signed up years ago and still have an empty profile, or have a sexually suggestive user name or photos or some such. Partly cos I’ve noticed too many of them change their status and then write me. I just don’t wanna have to deal with them later. Saves time cos sooner or later the truth will out.
