Thank you for being a friend Blocking on the site and back again
Blocking versus mod-imposed gag orders are two different things. Blocking is initiated by you all. Gag orders is what mods impose when we get tired of the personal attacks, and it includes tagging, messaging, and even participating on an OPs thread.
Oh, and I block messagers who are stupid, hostile or menacing. That's what the block function is for, ain't it?
I block when communication gets spotty. The rule is this: when I say something, you say something. Don’t ever put me in position to double text/message. Yea, I’m a brat when it comes to that, but I don’t care.
I got blocked by a woman in England I never met. I think she kept seeing Windsor and thought I lived near her, so she wanted to mark me as nowhere in the neighborhood
.
made a reference to donuts.
Lighten up on your friend. I have seen a cop or two inflict dental damage on blueberry glazed at Dunkin’s. Who will speak for the donuts? Obviously your friend. Bless your friend…the protector of gluten, the uplifter of yeast, and the keeper of the hole.
@OrangeCountyCA 10 years ago? I hope after all this time you can let it go 🤗
Ive blocked and ive been glad about being blocked, too. My ex who stalked me eventually blocked me because he got the message. It been the best relieve in my life and I was able to block him from my other social media too. Its definitely a great boundary wall.
On social media, if I get blocked, I assume it's because they were too intimidated by my greatness 😜👑 Orrrrrr they have some secret, unimaginative reason....so it's good the trash took itself out 🗑️
On here? I stopped trying to guess why....it's not worth my energy to worry over people I've never met before 🤷♀️😏
@RedFox16 I tried to go to your profile, and I have you blocked. LOLl!!! I honestly can’t remember why.
Either you were too great, or your communication got spotty. I’m leaning towards the latter.
When I get blocked, awesome the other person does not think we are a good match and move on. I love myself enough to walk away when people give me inconsistent and or horrible treatment. I have met many friends, cuddle buddies and kind people in general on this site. I often forget about people that blocked me, due to meeting so many more that do not. I also have fun with it by blocking people back that block me, so far up to 50!!!💯🤣🙂🙃🤓😎🦸🏿♂️🎉
I like the way LinkedIn does it. If you block someone there, you can't see their posts. They effectively cease to exist on the site for you.
@BR123 LoL That's funny, I didn't even notice.
But you're agreeing with the reasons I listed were correct? Yeah? 😜
@RedFox16 ABSOLUTELY! You’re amazing.
😆😆😆😆😆
@Katota I had forgotten about that! 🤣
I remember you could kinda circumvent the “phone off the hook “ block technique by calling the operator to see if phone was really off hook or person was chatting with someone else ! If person was chatting with someone else the operator could cut in and say “hello OhioMike is trying to contact you ! “ crazy right ! 😳
@Katota @OhioMike
Mostly what I remember about taking the phone off the hook was that you also had to unplug the cord from the handset or you woukd eventually get the obnoxiously loud alert/alarm sounds coming through it.
Damn thing would wake me up when I was trying to sleep.
@TheMidnightOwl- Oh, it's QUITE entertaining, actually!!
@TheFunCartel- WHO in their right mind would block Y-O-U!?!
@g_w_t_w - hugs and prayers As a brain tumor survivor myself, I SO "get it"!
@Katota Hahaha!!!🤣🤣🤣
@Jubal Lol! 😆 Most just went without a phone in the 80s, including US...If Mama couldn't afford a phone bill at certain times, then we just had to walk to folk's houses to "talk to them". 😁👍
That's likely why I got feet and knee aches and pains now, a lot of walking in 80s and the 90s. Lol 😆😂
@great_pillow08 Thanks for your kind wishes! You must be very strong to have gotten through a brain tumor. I hope it’s all behind you and you’re feeling great. I just don’t like all the testing because it’s sooo $$$$$ ☹️
🌸 Very rarely do I feel the need to block anyone, but lately I’ve had to a bit more often. Mainly for two reasons:
1️⃣ A few pros have been taking wording or structure from my profile and mixing it into theirs. I put a lot of time into making my page personal and authentic, so I’ve started blocking to protect my originality and peace of mind.
2️⃣ Occasionally, I’ll also block clients who are disrespectful or try to push beyond Cuddle Comfort’s platonic boundaries; such as making “attire” or touch requests that go against site guidelines. Or, of course, if someone is just plain rude.
✨ At the end of the day, boundaries keep this space safe and enjoyable for everyone and I always choose to protect my energy first.
I always laugh to myself and wonder what the final straw was for them to block me
A potential client messaged me saying “check my profile.” I did and I replied politely that I was glad he’d had some nice experiences. Apparently, that wasn’t the reaction he expected.
Instead of starting an actual conversation, he sent me long messages explaining how I should market myself, how I should approach clients, and what I did “wrong” and then blocked me before I could even respond.
And honestly? I felt relieved. I’m genuinely happy I didn’t end up in the same room, having to cuddle someone in his 50s who still needs validation, lacks basic respect, and doesn’t know how to initiate a simple human conversation with a woman.
That block felt like a gift ☺️
