No. I've done six figure jobs which were perfectly well aligned with my principles of life, and that was hard enough. It definitely, definitely wouldn't be worth it.
Eight figures, though ..... I can't honestly say I wouldn't at least ask, "Which principles did you have in mind, exactly?"
I once accepted a lucrative consulting gig from a large corporate client based on how they described the issue they wanted me to help them fix. I walked away from them after just 4 hours and never sent them a bill for my time that they wasted.
What I discovered they were doing in the first 4 hours I spent in their facility was technically legal but I did not want anything to do with them.
Reading the OP question, and without knowing which principle the job went against, I'd say "definitely maybe." Contributing to a mission I am mostly aligned with is good enough. I've worked for some terrific institutions that don't accurately reflect my personal values / life principles. Get specific and list out which values your employer must have, which you cannot stand for, and which you can tolerate. Organizations usually have value statements, and unspoken values can be sorted out by talking to staff. It's a good line of questioning. Too often we humans figure out our values by trial and error, and find ourselves in uncomfortable jobs after we signed up.
I put yes, I would compromise but only if it was something small, it couldn't be something damaging to others or something that is a big deal.
Tbh yes, depending on the degree to which my principles are compromised. Not if it's something major but for a minor tweak of my principles six figures could do it for me.

I was getting paid 16 an hour to do labor that killed my back and soul but I stayed because it felt like real work that helped people in a real way. But I'm a frugal queen and I can live on 24,000 a year pretty easily.. plus I don't have the travel bug anymore so wtf do I need extra money for?

I need a job, but I'd have to say no. I have seen jobs posted from organizations I have no respect for and haven't applied. That's not the example I want to set for my kid.

If “principles of life” = my personal value system? No amount of money is worth the chronic angst and insomnia this would produce.
I think this question is too vague to answer with precision. Regarding my principles, which principles would I have to undermine? All of them? One of them? For how long? To what degree? Regarding the money, which 6 figures are we talking about? All 9s? What if it's all zeroes? If I know which figures, do I get to know in what order they'll appear? Regarding the job, what are the benefits? Do I work alone or with people? Am I an employee or an independent contractor? Is my boss an asshole? How's the commute?
I just can't answer this question without having my own answered first. 😜
My fundamental principles of life are built around the Golden Rule - do unto others (sometimes "as you would have others do unto you" and sometimes "before they do unto you" depending on the facts and circumstances).
Example - I was a used car salesman many, many years ago at an old-school dealership that believed in lie, cheat, and screw the customer over. I was desperate and hungry enough back then to work for the dealership because I needed to eat. Now I couldn't do that, even if you told me that I was going to earn $1 million per year.
Maybe if it's $999,999 / year and only ever the slightest tiniest bit against one of my principles that isn't the highest priority. still probably not but I suppose that wouldn't be impossible. 😂

In reality, nobody actually knows until it happens. Life can be unpredictable. Unless a person has actually been in this situation in the past, I think all we're really doing here is announcing the type of person we want to be.
