  • Congratulations!! ✨️

Do be careful about giving employer names out online though...anyone can read these boards, even non-members.

I once mentioned something as innocuous as "going to a festival next weekend" to a guy online when I was a teenager, and within minutes he named my town. 🫀

@Mike403 Dude, please take that down. You do not know their policies about putting their business with you in the streets. It took you so long to get thisβ€”don’t endanger it by putting employer info out for the world to see. Everyone believes you, so you do not have to provide physical evidence.

  • Congrats! Hope it all goes well and can get you back on your feet or even fly.

@Mike403 I hope this opportunity gets you back on track for many more successes. Keep movin forward.

  • They rent out CAT equipment like this. My dad knows somebody who works for the company and talked to them who recommended me which I probably the only reason why I received that offer. I originally applied for the lab technician position which tests the quality of the oil used in the machines and got interviewed for that role. I was then called back to be interviewed for their warehouse role which is what was offered to me.

  • Great news and congrats, Mike! 😁

Hope everything works out swell, this time around for you! πŸ’—πŸ™

  • I started yesterday morning. This is pretty cool. It almost looks like a museum around the building.

  • @Mike403 Congratulations!

  • Awesome! I bet Sage (cat) is super happy. πŸ˜ƒ

  • Congratulations on your new job!

  • Congrats!

  • I learned how to operate the cherry picker. Those are for grabbing items from a high shelf. You drive it to the location then press the lift button to rise to the shelf you need to pick from. You can't be afraid of heights. Warehouse ceilings are generally high and they use all available space.

  • I got forklift certified. It's scary as shit. It's not at all like driving a car. They are rear wheel steelring to increaee maneuverability and most their forklifts can lift 5,000lbs. They have one that can do a heavier load if needed.

  • The unlimited overtime sure is nice. We can work as much as we want to make extra money and if we work on a Sunday, they pay double time for the hours worked that day.

  • I'm so happy to see this bumped up as I missed it previously.

    Many congratulations, @Mike403 !

  • I just thought it was a building under construction. πŸ˜† That's super fun though, now that I look closer!

    Glad it's going well!

  • Congrats πŸ‘

  • How is the job going?

  • After over 8 months of working in that warehouse with no warehouse experience to start, I received a compliment from one of the leads. I work the UPS table and was told that I was the best packer/shipper he's ever seen. I'm able to keep up with the volume solo and stay accurate. Yesterday I shipped out 118 orders and some of them are big orders containing many filters and misc parts such as seals, gaskets, etc... and I have to verify the part number of each item I pack(because the pickers make mistakes).

  • Sounds like you’re doing well.

  • I’m very happy for you @Mike403

  • Great job Mike! Glad to hear you’re doing well in your role
