I got blocked by a pro because I reported her for not turning up to a session we booked 😆
I started blocking people in comment sections if I was their comment made me question if 1. is this a 10 year old kid 2. is this rage bait 3. is this trolling
or sometimes it just not feeling the need to see any more from that person
@CuddleYogini a sweet little gift indeed 🎁 Tis the season. I'm all for communicating but sometimes you just don't need to with people that don't align with you
@CuddleYogini that definitely sounds like the block was a gift.
A pro recently commented to one of my comments in the cancer thread saying she admired my bravery. I was like who is that so I clicked on her and found I was blocked lmao
@g_w_t_w - It was scary for the first few years after being diagnosed, but I'm "good to go" now! Thanks!!
Thankfully, I was still a minor when I was diagnosed and although treatment happened when I was 19- I was in college full time so my dad's insurance through his employer covered dang near all of it.
If anyone ever needs it- I HIGHLY recommend proton radiation treatment. When I had it done, it was only available in 4 places world wide, but they've added several more treatment facilities since.
Thanks for telling me about your experience @great_pillow08 And that the procedure was successful thank goodness!! Both my dad and brother had brain tumors but they were benign. Many years ago and they each had the surgery and live/lived long lives. (also I’ve had the neurological testing and everything showed as normal for my age. Thanks for the well-wishes. But I’m still feeling forgetful at times and a little confusion so I attribute it to sleep problems and medication. Carrying on as usual.) Sorry for going off topic btw!
I just giggle every time I notice I'm blocked.
It's really not my business why others do what they do.
And if I block you, well you probably know why I did.
Examples: Rude, trolls, people who take advantage of others, professionals that copy my profile, or just have no other hobby but to be completely unreasonable and prickly...hard pass.
If someone blocks you, addressing them by name in the forum is considered an attempt to circumvent a block, and is against the rules.

When I'm blocked I just assume it's because they can't handle my awesomeness and it's a preemptive strike in the name of self preservation
One word when I’m blocked—Metamucil.
It's interesting to me when the people who block me get banned. It shows their real intentions.
Has anyone had experience running into a blocker at a cuddle event? This is a small community. Any advice?
I’m not sure I’ve ever been blocked by anyone yet but have seen a number of men delete their profiles after I enforce boundaries. It’s like they could block but press the eject button instead. And assuming they aren’t just going back and creating new profiles, I think it’s good to have boundary pushers leave because I suspect many are trying to use this platform in ways it’s not intended for anyway 🤷♀️
I posted about being blocked a couple years ago. Couldn't understand why I was being blocked. Now I successfully blocked 38 people.. most of the people that blocked me didn't like what I had to say about their non platonic messages. It wasn't blatant not enough to turn them in but slightly shifty.
I hate to say it, but I'm kind of proud of myself for all the blocking I've been doing. It feels like good boundaries.
I only recall being blocked only once, and it was from some dude who is probably long time banned because he was asking how cuddling with x pro was
@KozyKim I love that you say that so don't hate to say it! I'm proud of you too! 👏
@Cuddlesofcuddle thank you!! I've always been a person that wants people to like me and when they don't, I need to know why. But I'm also a person that sticks up for themselves in a kind way, without being disrespectful. So I know how to confront I'm not afraid of it. It's taking me a while, but I've learned how over the years:)
Yep. I block everyone who messages me and clearly has not read my profile as I have a very specific instruction for cuddling w me.
If someone blocks you, addressing them by name in the forum is considered an attempt to circumvent a block, and is > against the rules.
@JoyfulHeart Oh, didn't know this - so if a member "ABC" has blocked member "XYZ", then ABC is not supposed to be replying to messages that XYZ posts in the forums?
What @Jubal said. I know about gag orders by mods but that is a new one. I would like to hear the explanation because sometimes you may not know you have been blocked for months and a couple of people have a weird system of using blocks as a filter system for who they want to eliminate from their searches. I have been blocked and visited someone who I remembered from the past and I wondered when they blocked me. I don’t take blocks personally at all but apparently I should keep track of them.
Yeah I often don't know I'm blocked unless I click on someone's profile to learn I'm blocked.
Good question, @Jubal . I've wondered about this myself.
@JoyfulHeart Does this mean we should first click on the profile of anyone we want to address/respond to in the forums, in order to avoid potentially circumventing a block? I hate to do this as I don't want to constantly show up on someone's Visitors page.
I've suggested that a Blocker's username should not autopopulate when a Blockee uses the "@" symbol in the forums.
On the flip side, if we do have to keep track of perps who have blocked us I have a simple request. When a person blocks us can it automatically be added somewhere on our screen with a clickable button so I can pull up all my blockers profile pics and have everyone arranged under a bolded “BLOCKED” like the old FBI wanted posters? Would make me feel like I am on the right side of the law and justified if use of force is necessary.
If I get blocked it's because I set boundaries and yes, I don't want to be connected to someone who can't respect boundaries. 💯 Agree
@JoyfulHeart - Does a window pop up when you're replying to a post of someone who's blocked you or does the site just assume you know and "punish" you? I've been blocked by a few people and been able to respond to their comment in the forums. Sometimes people just can't agree on a topic, but if that topic isn't addressed on another (unrelated) thread, that shouldn't be an offense. We're all supposedly "adults" here so that logic doesn't make any sense to me!
So as many do, I sometimes like to look at profiles of people who post on the forum, or who pop up in my feed. There's been a least a few times where I've been completely surprised that I've been blocked with someone I've never had any interaction with (at least one is a pro I believe, and I'm not sure about others). I am not upset but rather genuinely confused as to what I did to them to be blocked when I never messaged nor replied to them in a post before. I try not to say or post things that will stir people up or cause issues. Usually just sharing my experiences, music, or something helpful. I guess I just wish I knew the reasoning. Is it my looks, taste in music, or something I said? Oh well I suppose that's their issue if they want to block without a real reason.
@CSnMUS87 People will do that if they read a comment you've left in a thread on the forum that they didn't like or disagree with. Unfortunately there's absolutely nothing anyone can do about the ignorant judgements of others. I wouldn't "sweat it". It shuts down what could be and should be an opportunity for growth on either part, but unfortunately- Everything in society has to be the same or it creates conflict and everyone loses their mind over it! I'd probably better stop "there" cuz THAT is a V-E-R-Y "hot" topic for me with this site!! LOL
@CSnMUS87 It could also be as simple as someone viewing your profile and deciding that a cuddle would never happen (location or interests) and nothing to do with forum activity). Like @great_pillow08 said, I wouldn't pay it too much mind.
Ok mods I blocked everybody on this thread and the last ten threads posted on today. Start the time outs!
