  • @TheFunCartel - gasps "How dare you!!"

  • @great_pillow08 I take no prisoners!

  • My my my has this thread turned tables lol
Soooooo, the person I made this post about has commented on it and I've since unblocked them and have had normal and stable conversation. I won't say who they are so they don't need to say who they are. I know it may not seem like a healthy thing to do and I'm telling you rn don't come for me, I'll attack you with love and sarcasm. 🤗😂 but has anyone else ever shared my experience of letting someone back in after a block and had a positive experience come from it?

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle Yes I did. I unblocked someone because they extended an olive branch through someone else. We chatted for awhile and they are inactive here now, but I would say it wasn’t necessarily a positive experience, but it definitely wasn’t negative either. Like much of life it just happened and then it was gone.

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle Ever hear the expression "good fences make for good neighbors"? I'd opine this is what you experienced. This is the flaw in social media blocking, in that it doesnt give the blocked person the opportunity to learn & change behavior.

  • @Jubal no, I sure hadn't
I 100% agree with you though. I might end up unblocking more people. Maybe not new pros that constantly visit my profile but I'm sure I'll go down that list for a risk assessment.
Yay for connections through cuddling 🙏

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle

I would like to officially thank you for unblocking me and would like to announce that we are getting soft tacos later

  • has anyone else ever shared my experience of letting someone back in after a block...

I've never blocked anyone, so... no, I haven't shared that experience. Honestly, I'm not sure why I would ever block anyone.

  • Again, Metamucil is the official sponsor of all blocks. Thank them for unblocking with success.

  • This was a fun thread to read through. I always take it as a sign that I have done the hard work of exercising my boundaries when I get blocked.

@justjennn I can appreciate your comment and relate a bit. Just showing up as our authentic self and let the chips fall where they may.

For me, I feel like there is beauty, that EVERYONE… Blockers and Blockees alike… feel like they can do what aligns for them without fear of repercussion.

It isn’t always because I/we “DID” something… it can also be just because of WHO I am. I realize I am not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m sort of grateful when someone blocks me because it is a very clear NO. Heck it might be just because they don’t like my user name or the silly that goes along with my personality.

It is a bit shocking when you click someone’s profile from a Meet & Greet thread or something innocuous and you see that BOLD RED SIGN that says “You’ve been blocked! Don’t try and circumvent or YOU WILL GET BANNED” 😂

  • @pmvines I never blocked you lol but wish you a great day nevertheless

  • @TxTom thanks for chiming in lol

  • To me blocking on this app gets you reported because the that person is immature and get blocked and because you're uncomfortable with them and they dont respect your boundaries. Worstly when you see friends getting banned permanently because they cancel and block a person and dont go to the appointment because they arent feeling good about it. Professional gets the blame.

  • @CuddleMa37 You can’t report someone just for blocking you and you do not get banned for blocking someone. People are banned for a multitude of reasons but blocking is not one of them unless it is in tandem with some other illegal action.

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle

Does this mean that we aren't getting soft tacos later ? Dammit I even skipped lunch so I'd be proper hungry

  • Someone messaged me the words blocked then blocked me. Now that's a new one!
With that, the why behind their reasoning to do so isn't of importance and the wheel in the sky keeps on turning!
On a serious note, don't take getting blocked seriously :) if that makes sense

  • Running into a blocker at an event? Just be yourself. Don't worry about anything else

I met someone at a cuddle meetup from the site who not only had me blocked on here , but I have it on high authority that they had disdain for me based off of my interwebs posts which is funny because I'm a actually a delight in person. I honestly found it amusing how much my mere presence made them all squirmy 😆

  • @pmvines I was NOT squirmy 🤣

    @OhioMike

You were, but that's your baseline so I understand 😂

Actually I'm the one who keeps running off instead of sitting with the group and socializing so maybe I'm the squirmy one and I'm just projecting 🤔

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle Yes I have unblocked people that I've blocked before. Though not on here, as my block list I think has only 3 profiles on it (2 of whom I believe are the same person, and the other one I forgot why but I saw it was a mutual block - them first). But on apps, social media, phone yes. I am probably too forgiving of a person and give people way way too many chances because I don't want to hold on to bad feelings and just want peace and happiness. I'm more likely to ghost than block if it's someone that continues to disrespect me. I like to give others the benefit of the doubt and I'm glad I'm not on your block list. :)

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle I’ve only blocked people who’ve blatantly displayed a lack of emotional intelligence or are simply incapable of having a mature conversation. I’ve unblocked people after I’ve had a chance to reflect with a level head too. I can become incredibly “passionate” to the point that I almost become reactive and what I say isn’t what I meant to (this is commonly VERY different than others perceptions of what I meant though..) I’ll apologize for how I phrased something, but not for how I feel or for expressing my opinion in the first place. My toxic trait is definitely that I expect “me” from everyone else. I’m an imperfect human (as is everyone else), but I still have the ability to extend grace- Unfortunately, that’s not everyones first instinct.

  • I don't typically get blocked. Not sure why I would, other than a couple of people on these threads that got condescending with me. Or no-shows who tried to act like I was in the wrong for calling them out. Lol. So they can go f off. But generally people here are friendly, and while often slothful in responsiveness, still undeserving of blocks IMO.

  • I've been blocked for having a difference of opinion and for answering to slow because work got busy. The too slow block was just lifted and we're back to talking

  • @Goonie4life hey check that out!!!! I love that for ya'll! 💌

  • @CSnMUS87 To choose to ghost rather than block shows me your self awareness. I applaud your mindset sir.
For me it's easier to block but I will admit that it inhibits my growth in connection. I'm glad I didn't block you! 🗽

@great_pillow08 I too can be reactive... I might not be the most composed when I react either. I have a pro blocked specifically bc they came on the platform in my same city and it literally looked like they reached out to all the people that had recently left me Karma. It really doesn't matter now and I'll run into them one day. Will they be unblocked by then, the 🌎 may never know. Muahahaha 🧟‍♀️ lol jk

We're all on our own levels of growth, and that's ok.

  • There was someone that I was having a disagreement with a few years back in the forums and I said some bad stuff, he said some bad stuff. So I blocked him. And last year, I ended up unblocking him to apologize and we started talking. We were actually trying to plan for a cuddle when I was travelling around their area lol
