Cuddle Events

I know that there has been considerable discussions on this forum about cuddling through various services, both positive and negative. I would like to hear from people who have either organized or participated in 'cuddle parties' (not necessarily the organized group Cuddle Parties), perhaps through meetups and the like. Some have mentioned that they don't think that such events would be for them and I would like to hear more from them as well. This is also another plug to add an events area to Cuddle Comfort where these could be listed.

  • To get this discussion going, I am adding a link to website that I know has been organized by a member from this site, although I haven't had the opportunity to attend any of his events; Touch Positive. I know that these are attended but don't know if it has been attended by any members from this site. If you have, please speak up and share your experience.

These cuddle parties are advertised as having cool and young people present but when you attend it's mostly old creepy men and a few older women. Just boring and most people end up leaving early.
  • And how many and which ones dd you attend?

I have never been to any. There was one that I had on my calendar but ended up canceling in the last minute. You can tell just by looking at the pictures. Cuddle parties look like they have more guys than women. Cuddle Party has pics in their website. Gender imbalance.

I never made it to the cuddle party I mentioned, so no report back. There is another one coming up and perhaps I will participate in that one. http://www.meetup.com/Cuddle-Party-Sonoma-County/events/233016199/?rv=ea1

  • I should clarify, by describing cuddle parties that you have attended or organized, I didn't mean ones where you looked at pictures or ads and then formed an opinion.

I'd be curious to hear about these as well especially being in the Los Angeles area.  Plenty of sex/swinger parties in LA but where's the cuddlin?

Giving this a shameless bump to see if anyone has attended a party?

    Wondering things like:
Is the entry free for women and couples, men pay $20/$40?
    How long do they last?
    How do they get started?
Are they in apartments? Houses? Clubs?
Do people find one person to cuddle with or is there group cuddling?
What if someone wants to cuddle with you and you don't want to?

Again I'm kind of surprised there aren't more of these in LA.

    *puts on detective hat*
  • I can only speak about Cuddle Parties, but you might check if the Cuddle Sanctuary has any organized events in the LA area.

Generally, Cuddle Parties charge the same entry fee for everyone, ranging $20 - $40. they last around 4 hours. They start with a mandatory orientation to explain the rules, the importance of asking to cuddle, the freedom to say 'no'. and then an ice-breaker activity. Cuddling sessions are timed and then you are free to ask someone else. The location could be in a house, yoga center, church or anywhere else willing to rent out space. Cuddle only with someone you want to.

    Thanks much! ^^

I found Cuddle Parties and actually saw some in my area. Sanctuary seems to be more workshop-oriented which is also nice but I'm planning on giving C.Parties a shot when my schedule clears up.  Thanks for the other info as well.
  • Report back to us how it goes.

There is a Cuddling group up in Carpenteria, which is North of Ventura.  I don't know anything about it, or where it's hosted.  A friend told me of this recently.  I'm in San Diego area & will look into this here:-)  Thanks for the idea!
