All my life, I thought loyalty is such a wonderful attribute to possess..
UNTIL
I realized how it can blindfold you.
We are loyal to our partners, kids, friends, family and all the worldly things that we believe and thus ignore every fact that tell us otherwise.
We are happy to support these people while possibly hurting someone else (that we don't know or care about). Truth and integrity shoved to a side.
Isn't it dishonest to ourselves? What are we fearing here? The shame? The identity crisis?..
On the other side, how can we be more accepting if someone withdraws their loyalty without holding anything against them?
Self assess? Self reflect?? Take accountability??
