  • The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk

  • Hardy boys I still luv those books!

  • I absolutely loved a court of thorns series.

  • I'm currently reading through "The 2000's Made Me Gay" a collection of queer essay reflections on 2000s media. The last one in finished I didn't really like, "The Flowers of Buffoonery", but it was on my reading list this year to read a novella, so I finished it!

That one was recommended to me. I saw it recently in a huge bookstore in Oregon, but I figured I would get it from the library. Would you recommend it over others in the same vein?

  • @SunsetSnuggles - Was that Powell’s City of Books? I stopped in there several years ago when I was working for a client in Portland.

This July I am doing a West Coast trip from San Diego to Vancouver so I will probably be stopping there again as I am passing through Portland

  • I’m currently readying

  • @AmyMichelle79 Rented "the housemaid" this weekend. Watched it more than once. It was "different"....but good in it's own way. JMHO

  • The Problem of Political Authority: An Examiniation of the right to coerce and the duty to Obey.

    I highly recommend!

  • 107 Days - Kamala Harris

  • I just finished My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russel.
Couldn’t put it down. Started at 11, finished at 3:30.
It was such a hard book to read. Sadly, I believe a lot of women can relate to it.
If I wasn’t at work, I would’ve teared up more.

I’m about to start This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one.

  • I'm not sure if there was another similar thread but I forgot to share when I finished this book a few months ago. It is such an excellent read that brought up all sorts of emotions when I was reading it. Definitely laughed at some stories, and found myself shedding tears near the end. :
