  • Some of these responses to the OP are probably why more people don't bother to ask questions here.

They seemed to be asking in good faith, looking for an answer. No reason to vent on them, really.

  • I don’t come in here to judge people. What’s the point?

  • I just wanted to pop in to thank @FunCartel_, @jubal, and @7gem for their thoughtful, elegant, and supportive contributions to this absolutely buck wild thread. OP, you're fine to express a preference, and being able to put words to the awkwardness you felt with such nuance is a sign of emotional sophistication. I fully endorse your asking future cuddlers about their lives before meeting up with them.

Not everyone will agree with your take on the matter, but the fact remains that you paid for a cuddle session and you have a right to feel comfortable and relaxed. I hope that you find the right match in the future that will make you feel just exactly that.

  • @sagantyson yeah I’ve heard instances (and even an example on this thread) of people not wanting talk therapists to be married or clergy for that matter because of confidentially concerns. People come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences that influence their preferences and I don’t believe in policing that, especially if it’s a service one’s paying for.

  • I did not know there are Pro married women on the site. So I agree with the original poster being surprised. It doesn’t bother me however as long as the husband is ok with it.

I assume most of the women are single or have boyfriends. Married no.

  • @SlimBrown62 can I ask what you view as the difference there? People who aren't legally married to each other can still be happy, healthy, committed couples. I'm just not sure I understand your point.

  • SpicyNSweet,

Not everything in life can be explained rationally. I just find it weird to be married and cuddling. This has nothing to do with unmarried happy healthy couples. Marriage just means more to some than others.

  • @7gem I looked back at the thread and I think the land mind the OP stepped on was wishing Pro cuddlers had marital status on their profiles. There are two issues here: a)preference b)desire for more information advertised that’s not pertinent to the service based on preference. So two things can be true at the same time. He does wish the site to cater to his pretense when it is an easy question to ask before booking. People can say it’s an invasion of privacy to be forced to advertise and I would agree with that opinion.

  • *mine not mind 😂

  • @SlimBrown62 I see. As you've offered nothing of substance other than an opinion (which you're entitled to hold for yourself), maybe consider reserving the judgments of others? Helps it to be a supportive space.

    @mimiloveshugs2 exactly. Well put. 🙌

  • "Marriage just means more to some than others."

That's a pretty rude assumption, tbh.

  • I've had the same thing happen, a cuddler told me they were married. Ya, it's platonic, yes their spouse was ok with it, but it can feel like you're doing something you shouldn't be doing, depending on the person and their personal feelings.
Cuddling is intimate, you're in very close contact, your naughty parts may touch their naughty parts even if it is platonic and incidental. I didn't feel awkward, everyone needs a hug, but none the less felt surprised. I was ok with it, but could see how some more conservative people might feel awkward. I think it's perfectly fine but could totally understand how some people might want that to be disclosed first.

Well said. I don't understand why some people can't just accept the way others feel about certain things/issues. No crime is being committed.

  • I've cuddled single, married, and people in relationships. It doesn't matter to me. My younger self would have had issue with it, but would have also thought that this community is taboo.

If it's a platonic cuddle, relationship shouldn't matter, yet I understand everyone is in a different place in life. To each their own....more married cuddlers for me. 🤣🤣

  • I think it only might matter to a spouse or partner who doesn’t know their SO is cuddling up with someone else. That’s where some people might feel uncomfortable about it. Not everyone wants to play a part in possibly causing problems in a relationship. And just because the Cuddler tells you their partner knows…well we never know for sure. That’s why imo it’s best to decide whether it matters to you or not, really is a personal decision either way I guess.
