No... we shouldn't discuss the "possibilities" of violence until either him or the person he accused comes forward with a different version of events.
Until then it is inappropriate to be talking about the possibility that violence was involved when there's no indication that it has occured just so you can insert a conversation about violent crime statistics about women... we're not discussing that right now and it has nothing to do with the experience of the OP.
Victims should not be discouraged from coming forward out of fear that they will not be believed..... or worse.... that the "possibility" that they were the aggressor or committed violence against their own perpetrator. It is always worth coming forward and speaking out about wrongdoings that have happened to you... while not everyone will believe you, there are many that will!
You are obligated to not break forum rules and not be disrespectful to other users.

This is an interesting thread. I’m reading through it and all I’m thinking about is how I had the recent honor of joining the ranks of the permanently disabled and if someone ran off with my money I can only chase them at max 5 mph via wheelchair. Though if I catch up with them I’m not sure how I’d get my money back from them. Maybe bump into them and the money flies out of their hand and I snatch it from the air. I should probably consider switching to digital payments.
Given how these types of posts usually play out, there is more often than not a big chunk of the story missing, so questioning anyone’s intentions when they bring their grievances to the forums is not something that should be causing a surprised Pikachu face on anyone. I have no idea what went down here, and now having come to the understanding of how much more effort one has to put in to literally everything when they cannot walk…I can understand being super pissed if you did nothing wrong and got scammed. I wouldn’t discount someone seeing OP as an easy target and then taking his money and briskly walking away. Sorry, I have a lot of pent up crippled jokes myself cause I don’t like my own situation one bit.
