Never again!

edited March 18 in General

Just had the worst experience ever. Had a cuddle with Name redacted. Do not name names re personal grievances in a public forum. - BlueIris . Everything seemed fine until she said he sister had car trouble and needs a lift. She said she'd return in 20 min to continue. I said fine, I mean it's family in need, long story short, she never returned, immediately blocked me and deactivated her account. I'm a cripple too, what kind of person rips off a crippled man just looking to be held. Never cuddling with a "pro" again. People are horrible beasts not to be trusted. I'm so sad right now and feel like a dumb sucker.

  • I always wonder why people do that unless she felt unsafe and needed an excuse to leave.

  • @GentleSnugHug was the cuddler brand new? Could have been a scammer. I wouldn't blame it on all pro cuddlers. Definitely report it

  • Methinks we're not getting the full story, and this sounds like she needed to make a quick exit because she felt uncomfortable and didn't feel safe being honest with OP for one reason or another. I could be wrong, but having had to make such exits myself more times than I would like, my gut instinct is to trust she had her reasons.

It's also suspect for someone who is disabled to play the "poor cripple" card for sympathy. I of course can't speak for every disabled person, but most of us fight so hard every damn day against the associated stigma that playing into it like this seems like a false flag. Maybe OP is just venting from frustration... But my spidey senses are screaming on this one.

    Hmmmm

  • It’s kinda crazy how the comments here blame a crippled man instead of holding someone accountable for theft of services. I guess that’s the vibe around here. Karen’s all over the boards

@GentleSnugHug I'm sorry for your experience. If you had not paid her you should let it go. Take it as an experience and move on to the next cuddler. I had been in your situation before. I block them after such unfair no-show-ups.
I also have worked with a couple of cuddlers in rescheduling when they changed the plan. They had genuine reasons and they were respectful with my time.

Why did she deactivate her account?
May be she really had some personal issues going on. I'm sorry for her in that case.

    Why did she block you?
So that you would not be able to give a bad karma. Dishonest move. I would block from my side, not to see her profile again.

@cobrapause44 I'm 100% agreeing with you. Good call out!

  • Yes, victim blame because I'm a guy. I was nothing but a gentleman and engaged only in platonic cuddling and conversation. I'm actually pretty grossed out by most of you who rushed to judge me as a creep and the helpless woman was in danger and left. This is how awful a cuddle partner I am. She said she worked with autistic kids had a rough day and so I spent the only time we spent before she bolted applying lotion to her feet and giving her a foot rub. I mean if that's grounds for a cuddler to feel threatened and make an excuse to leave than ya I'm guilty of being a creep. But no , she's a scammer. I had actually cuddled once before with her and it was great. Good vibes no red flags. Gave a generous tip so I wa clueless I was getting played.
But shame on you who automatically assumed a lonely touch deprived cripple was the perp and not the victim.

  • @summerson I'm definitely taking it as a learning experience. And that's why never again. And never again sharing with the community either as most people transpose their own experience of bad men onto what I wrote which really doesn't lift my spirits and just angers me. If I was a woman and said I had to lie to get out of a cuddle there would be an outpouring of compassion. But because I'm a guy I'm the bad one by default. No wonder most crimes committed against men go unreported. Men bashing needs to stop, there are many of us who are just nice, kind but lonely people who respect others. Someone even posted the guidelines for me to read as if I even need them to know how to treat a woman with respect and dignity.

  • @cuddlefaery I agree with you. (Doesn't apply to all legit disable)Someone may just pretend
disable, get others sympathy, to get his hidden agenda. After all, we Don't know the whole story. Bravo to cuddlefaery for the insight, when others fail to see!

@GentleSnugHug I’m sorry this happened to you. If you booked through the site, you should still be able to leave her karma but if she’s deactivated, you may not be able to.

A few people seem to be putting blame on @GentleSnugHug but if there was an issue with him, why didn’t pro block him and deactivate rather than reporting him?

@GentleSnugHug on the contrary perhaps consider booking another professional immediately …. This may help ease both sides of the aisle

@GentleSnugHug did you pay up front for however long you agreed to? If so she definitely should have refunded you. I would report it if not so that the site can at least help you get your money back.

@GentleSnugHug I’m not going to get into the validity of what happened with that pro your experience is yours I wasn’t there. feet activity of any kind is considered fetish and shouldn’t be participated in. This goes for everyone in case they didn’t know.
Also, once there pros can leave for whatever reason usually it’s that they feel unsafe. This is for safety. We do encourage payment up front but being run out on especially when you don’t know why isn’t fun.
You could be right so no judgements but everyone should be made aware of these things. So that is for everyone.

  • @ cuddle faery I sincerely hope you have a stroke and lose most of the use of one side of your body. Then you can talk about playing the crippled card when your life becomes infinitely more difficult. Here's me playing my fake crippled card Yes I'm a man therefore I'm a beast and liar and just a horrible creature by default I guess in your small messed up mind.

  • @ malekoala the pic in the above post is me pretending to be crippled. I wish nothing but pain and hardship and crippling disease for you as you pretend to be a decent person. You seem more crippled than me but don't realize it.

Spoke to another moderator we’re gonna let it go unless the people attacked feel like reporting it. Specifically those people No over moderation.

  • @stormydaycuddle did the pro make a complaint against @GentleSnugHug ?

  • edited March 19

Who reports what isn’t going to be shared.

  • If the OP was a woman, pretty sure there would have been more sympathizers. When you are from certain race or of certain color or have disability, you know it for 100% when someone's mistreating you and making excuses. I feel sorry for you @GentleSnugHug, but unfortunately everything's not fair in this world. Many wouldn't leave even in the middle of their pedicure appointment for "sisters car trouble", forget professional work.

  • For all those people who are victim blaming and talking about not generalizing pros etc:
guys if you have an inability to comfort someone, don't make things worse by opening your mouth.

  • I was simply pointing out that we have only one side of the story, and we have no idea whether the pro reported OP or not. Mods generally don't share details of active disputes. I also very specifically spoke from my own experiences, which I clearly stated.

@GentleSnugHug I get that you feel attacked and like people are blaming you. But I did in fact assume you are disabled, if you go back and reread my original comment. Just because someone is disabled doesn't mean they don't ever weaponize it. People will weaponize just about anything when they are feeling hurt.

For those critiquing the word choice, I pulled the "poor cripple" directly from the OP stating "what kind of person rips off a crippled man" - it assumes that OP was targeted specifically because of being disabled, even though reality is that people who do get scammed come in all varieties. For me morally, a disabled person being ripped off is no worse than any other person being ripped off - we're all people, and it sucks no matter what.

@stormydaycuddle I don't care if it stays up, didn't take it personally as I get that my questioning the viewpoint can be read as an attack 🤷🏻‍♀️ if it continues to be an instigating factor, mods can of course do what needs to be done.

@GentleSnugHug I genuinely wish you well and that you find your own resolution.

  • @samson1060 I am a cancer survivor so per the ADA, I have a disability. Chemo wrecked my body, every day is a struggle and the struggle is definitely real. I try extremely hard hard every day and I hope people respect the issues that I have as I’m sure they expect me to respect them.

  • @cuddlefaery you don't have both sides of story but your gut instincts say the guy with a disability is wrong ...hmm...well didn't know you were on a jury duty here

  • This is such a sad comments/response section.

Victim blaming/shaming the original poster is truly disturbing. You all don't know what happened. Just your personal experiences does not give the right to poorly judge someone else. Seriously??

@GentleSnugHug - I'm sorry for what happened. I hope you will have better experiences with other Pros or fellow enthusiasts. I understand your frustration but cursing someone who did not respond kindly to your post may not be a healthy thing either.

Personally, I met/chatted with some amazing Pros & fellow cuddlers on this platform. There were some sketchy ones too but overall a wonderful experience so far. Stay vigilante.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

  • @samson1060 my gut instinct isn't that OP was wrong - my gut instinct is exactly what I said originally: that we don't have the full story and cannot assume why she left and blocked him. In my experience, scammers generally don't waste time actually showing up to a cuddle, let alone participating in it for any amount of time. Also in my experience, people of all types can end up making others uncomfortable, intentionally or accidentally. I did not assume OP did anything outright wrong necessarily, but pointed out that the pro could have made her exit because she felt uncomfortable. In a perfect world, we'd all be able to communicate when someone is making us uncomfortable, but reality is that it frequently feels unsafe to do so for any number of reasons.

And for what it's worth, I can and have questioned this sort of scenario no matter what genders are involved. Women and nb folks can be creepy just as easily as men. Any gender can be unintentionally creepy, have trouble reading social cues, and cause harm. It being unintentional does not lessen that harm. And likewise anyone can intentionally or knowingly make others uncomfortable. Hurt feelings suck, but they suck far less thnt feeling in danger or physically harmed on top of it.

  • Why did you apply lotion to her feet for a foot rub? Was this discussed beforehand? Were her feet dry and scaly? Just curious—it is a little unusual.

  • @cuddlefaery your comments are so eloquently stated and mature. Brava🤌

  • @stormydaycuddle said pros can leave for any reason usually because they feel unsafe. Are they required to refund for the remaining time? Suppose a two hour session is booked and paid in full before the session, and the pro leaves after a half hour. Is the payment for the remaining hour and a half supposed to be refunded?

  • play the "poor cripple" card for sympathy
    -yikes
