@tranquilheart For now I'm a maybe. My only concern is that given that its so far off and the weather in IL is always unpredictable it wouldn't hurt to have some sort of back up plan in case the weather is going to be rotten. I hope I am wrong of course

@alz480 Totally valid concern, Chicago weather is always a gamble! We picked late May specifically for the good odds of decent weather, and we booked a large covered pavilion so we’re covered either way. And if the weather is really rough, the Hilton is literally across the street. Other meetup organizers have used hotel lobbies as a backup and it works really well. We’ve got options! 😊

The last Chicago neat and Greek got moved around so many times because of possible weather issues that when it finally settled on one particular date, I think only five people showed. It’s good that we have the shelter and everything. Pretty good planning in general.
Really grateful for the guidance from @Bear and @OhioMike! their input shaped a lot of the planning decisions and I feel much more prepared because of it. My goal is just for everyone to show up, relax, and have a genuinely good time.

The thing is though I don't have a car and while I can easily take a metra to North brook and than lyft to the park it will be a little bit difficult for me getting back without leaving early. You mentioned carpooling if that s an option i'm down with that.
