Scammed again, well I think so.

Scammed again, well I think so.
We'll see what the site has to say but...
I will try to be concise. Ask any questions you want.

A cuddler and I agreed on a cuddle session time and place.
I sent the appointment request.
She asked for a $35 deposit which I sent.
She gave me her number. (Without ever accepting the request on the site.)
We started texting.
En route to the appointment, she texted me to change the time.
I told her I couldn't.
She asked me to reschedule.
I said I would, just please fefund me the deposit for this appointment which she had to cancel.
She said she wouldn't.
I told her "You canceled ma'am. You have to refund. That is the rules."
She replied "I make my own rules. lol that's a good one."

Cutting to the chase:
I gave her several more chances to refund the money or I would report her.

She told me she is friends with one pf the mods, so who knows what happens.
I reported her.

  • side note: I took screenshots of our entire texts. I didn't send them with the report.
I can send them at a later date and mentioned that in the report.
I just did the report on 4/20 at 3ish est. Supposedly takes approximately or up to 48 hours to hear back.

Exchanging contact information before confirming a session using the booking panel is a rule and part of the contract that you and the Pro e-signed. So her sending her number over is already grounds to terminate or time-out her account.

Booking panel process should go as follows:
    1) Either person can send a booking proposal
    2) The 2nd person accepts it
    3) You can now exchange contact info (phone/address/chat ID)

If after talking either party no longer wish to proceed, you can simply cancel the booking. This will not impact your account's reputation.

    Never send deposits.

You're close to me and I'd love to give you a session to make up for this bad experience if you're up to coming to CT or I'm ever in NJ!

  • Very curious what the community thinks.

This is why I try to not deal with cuddlers who request deposits.

She also maybe had 1 Karma at best I believe. (I could be wrong.) She has me blocked so I can't check.

  • She deserves to be booted off the site

  • Being friends with the mods doesn't exempt you from the rules 🙄 if anything, it should mean adhering to them more strictly so you don't put them in an awkward position.

I'm sorry to hear about this experience. Hopefully the mods are able to follow up on the report soon, though that unfortunately won't get your deposit back.

  • If you wanna talk about it, we can definitely talk about it and I do have screenshots so please don’t believe him

  • @SleepySheep1
    Thank you for your reply.
Your opinion does matter to me.
    I will send a friend request. :)
And let's talk about cuddling. I'll send a message!

  • Why don't we resolve this now. Refund the man's deposit and block each other. Done.

  • If you guys want to know Exactly what he said I have the real screenshot. He edited and deleted his a lot of his messages. I have real screenshots.

  • And he was being aggressive

  • It'd be best for both parties if you took this out of the forums before it becomes and unnecessary drama fest. Let the mods do their jobs.

Let the mods investigate and mete out justice if required. That is one of the many selfless things our great mods do and we should be thankful for.

  • @cuddlefaery I never mentioned the persons username. I will not respond to her comments. I am happy to let the mods (or the site) figure it out. I do understand your point.
I was simply curious what people's feelings were on getting a refund returned if the Pro cuddler cancels.

Oh no no no no no no nooooooooooooooooooooooo

[Pulls paper bag over head and crawls under dining table.]

Yes, dear reader, I am the Mod in question. Yes, a Report has been received. Yes, it is in hand.

There is a genuine general point to be discussed here, but remember to keep it civil, non-judgemental and without getting too much into the specific case.

Every Report is unique but yes this one does fit a standard pattern. As with all moderating decisions, the outcomes vary wildly from case to case because they are influenced by factors such as disciplinary history.

  • @123Cuddles321 since the pro has responded to your thread, the only thing that I'll give my opinion on is deposits.

In general, I've not had a problem with paying a modest deposit to a pro - "modest" for me is typically $20 or thereabouts, but $35 is not unreasonable. But, as noted above, you should wait until the pro has accepted the booking before you send a deposit. And I've never sent a deposit to a new pro with no karma, and so far, have never lost a deposit (except for where I had to cancel).

    Hope this is helpful.

  • In principle being scammed for any amount of money always makes one feel cheated, but the monetary loss could have been worse than $35
to learn a lesson to never send deposits or at least to never send them to cuddlers who are new or who have no or little karma. On the bright side, with a moderator looking into to it you might get the money back, and as a result of this thread you might have found someone else to cuddle.

  • @Jubal Thank you for your response.
I personally think that if someone cancels on the Pro Cuddler then they should lose their deposit. (The Pro Cuddler could return it if they wanted to due to a really good reason... Like say the client's puppy needs emergency medical care.)
However, I think if the Pro Cuddler cancels on a client then the deposit should be refunded.

  • @Kempist Thank you for your response.
Yes $35 is not much. But to me it is the morality of it.
And yes!!! I may have found another person to cuddle with!!

I tried my best to be very respectful and honest and try to communicate the best I can with people I feel like this was all a miscommunication

This is a positive remark so I will let it stand.

  • @bianca106 none of us would have known you were the pro in question until you outted yourself. You weren't named, so there was no need to defend.

Its best to just leave it as is, work with the mods, and keep the discussion out of the forums. Back and forth arguments like this tend to just make both parties look bad and don't solve anything. Listen to the mods - they're already on the case.

  • Ok I get it

  • I've never paid a deposit on this site, and I've had a few positive experiences on the site. With payment happening through this site I wasn't aware of any need for deposit.

  • @cabellye payment is not processed through the site. Some professional cuddlers choose to require deposits in varying amounts for varying reasons. There's several threads discussing this if you care to read up. Ultimately it's up to the client to decide what they're comfortable with, and only book accordingly instead of arguing with the pro about their policies.

  • Moral of story don't send any deposit to anyone. Never have or will

  • I’m with @trysdet

    Don’t pay deposits.
