What are the perfect songs for a hug? Which ones do you like the most?
I prefer instrumentals or tracks with almost no lyrics, that encourages being in the present moment and quieting the mind. I’m curious to see everyone else’s contributions to the thread 🤓

I love Kygo mixes! So mellow and floaty and positive🥰
I'm at the gym and a Kygo mix just came on the gym speakers 😂😂😂
I used to like the lofi mixes on YouTube but they started to sound like elevator music after listening so much 😂 But I strongly agree on instrumental music with little to no lyrics for cuddles^^ One of my cuddle buddies shared “two lanes” on YouTube with me and it’s so good and perfect trance like cuddle music. So that’s been my go to. I’ve also had a cuddle buddy bring his own mix tapes which was super cool! Im going to start looking for records that I want to start playing during cuddles once I get my new cuddle space set up in a few weeks, I feel like that would be such a cool vibe 😅
I play "The piano guys" or Enya playlist. Unless someone comes with a specific genre or artist that they want to listen to. If I am at a hotel, I tend to just use the radio on the TV on a classical station. 😌
Enya, Yanni, Yiruma, Kitaro
Who is Kygo 🤔?
@SqueezeBuddy you have an amazing New Age selection. Throw some Gandalf in the mix
“I’m With You”, Avril Lavigne “Praying for Time”, George Michael “You’ve Got a Way”, Shania Twain “Angel”, Sarah McLachlan “Across the Universe”, The Beatles “Imagine”, John Lennon “No Woman, No Cry”, Bob Marley and the Wailers
Bob Marley- No Woman, No Cry Phil Collins- In The Air Tonight
@Goonie4life he's a Norwegian record producer and DJ. Look him up! He's great😊
I like songs by the following Artists/groups:
Brandon Lake Jelly Roll Casting Crowns Lauren Daigle Jason Aldean Enya Anna Nalick Brandi Carlile Melissa Etheridge Missy Higgins
I'm pretty eclectic in my music tastes in general, and my choice for cuddles varies depending on my cuddle partner's preferences and the mood/vibe of the day.
Some I keep coming back to:
Patrick Swayze- she's like the wind
The theme from jaws
Aerosmith I Don't want to Miss a thing Blues Man Hank Williams Jr Stay Florida Georgia line You save me Kenny Chesney Carried away George straight I need you Lynyrd Skynyrd Red light special TLC I want to spend you around Cover me up Band-Aid on a bullet hole Smile Morgan wallen There's so many in too many to choose from
That’s a good question and when I never thought about. When cuddling, I like instrumental music otherwise my mind would probably start focusing on the lyrics as well as the memories attached to them. For just a hug, I don’t know maybe some sort of ringtone because they don’t last too long. Being the jokester that I am the ringtone from the Austin powers phone just came to mine. Lol. It’s a good question and I’ll have to really think about it.
Here's one...wouldn't want to play it to loud....
@Brandi oh man can’t go wrong with Lofi tracks! I agree it can get rather repetitive after a while, although I was obsessed with lofi renditions of game of thrones and avatar the last airbender a couple years back.
I forgot to add Andre 3000’s flute Album, I’ve actually used it for sessions 🙃🧘🏻♀️

Like a straight up standing hug? Depends on how long you can hold for.
For some reason the Tetris theme popped into my head. Don't ask me why...
“A Little Bit of Love” by Weezer will give you a nice long hug, but you may be tempted to sway and dance a little.
A perfect song for a hug is “Never Gonna Let You Go” by Sergio Mendes.
“Somewhere in the Night” and “Ready to Take a Chance Again” are my two favorites.
Beastie Boys- Intergalactic The Fraggles - Down in Fraggle Rock Corey Feldman - What's up with the Youth
If I had to pick one that hasn't already been mentioned yet Sting - book of my life I listen to this song almost every night before I fall asleep. It's just really special to me.
I'll always be partial to classical music, my mom used to play this CD nature sounds mixed with claire de line for us to fall asleep to. But I can't play that one too much cuz I'll just miss her 😭
I also really enjoy vaguely existential music such as nine inch nails, tool, Depeche Mode, Gregorian chants, aforementioned Sting, Simon & Garfunkel, Lana Del Rey. Minor keys and lyrics that feel unresolved does something to my brain.
Etoile-Jazz and sometimes I like rain sounds.
