if it's not viola/violin + cello + brush percussion + vocal harmonies + good lyrics + a guitar + recorded live then i'm not super duper interested. who cares what you can produce in a studio with infinite resources and infinite time? not me. i care about what you can produce in real time. i didn't spend the last 25 years of my life studying music just to listen to horse manure.

I honestly listen to a little bit of everything but my main genre has always been R&B. Lately though, I’ve been slowly easing more into house music and realizing there are so many different lanes of it 😅 I’m definitely drawn more to the soulful, groovy, deep house/Chicago house side of things versus the big festival EDM type of house. Stuff with rhythm, basslines, vocals, old school club energy, jazzy influences… I’m still figuring out all the subgenres honestly but I’ve really been enjoying exploring it!
