  • Go to the "Why is there such a disparity in price" thread in the professionals forum for insight. Bottom line is like all businesses, they can set whatever price they feel is warranted for their services, and you as the consumer have the right to choose the price you are willing to pay. Its simple as that.

    @riz0707
Pros aren’t allowed to change their hourly rate once you’re in person. That needs to be reported if someone is doing it.
This is just my opinion but if a Pro is trying to do that, I would think you could leave right then because that’s pretty deceptive, against TOS, etc. And once you do, report them.

  • @HuggingHoney yes you can adjust your rate as often as you like. I often change mine when I travel to different towns, based on their average. Or if I'm in a pinch and my calendar isn't busy I might do a discount for a while.

I think the best pricing for a Guest cuddler is $80 to $100/hr and for hosts it's $120 to $140/hr. I'm in Arizona, pricing in other states could be more or less. What are your thoughts?

Prices are set based on what the provider feels is fair for them (even in the same location, two providers may differ wildly on price based on countless factors). If you disagree with pricing that is valid and you should see someone else.

For me, it just comes down to inflation, platform fees, and what I want to bring in after the site takes its 15% cut and I put back what I need for taxes and travel. A premium rate is the only way to make a sustainable net income. Ultimately, I have complete confidence in the quality and safety I bring to a session, and I price my time exactly what it’s worth.

  • I’ve just got back to the site after time off and saw rates at $200, which was certainly a sticker shock for me! Add the overnight for that person was $2000!!! And, yes, she said she was fully platonic.

  • @newlyretired most cuddlers have crazy expensive overnight rates. I don't think most people prefer them over regular sessions, sometimes even disliking them to an extent, so the price has to compensate accordingly. I always recommend service providers of all kinds to price in order to encourage what you want and discourage what you don't want.

I also think a lot of people price according to what they think they can get versus what they actually need to feel a balance in the exchange. My other suggestion in pricing is to charge no lower than an amount that feels like a happy exchange for you, but also no higher than the point where you would regret losing the business because of that rate. That number is different for everyone, but I think few people practice this exercise - they just look at what people charge, and charge around there. 🤷‍♀️

Personally, overnights are my favorite, so I price them attractively. Usually I only do overnights after we've met at least once, but they are my specialty. 😇

  • I'm curious what should be the typical hourly rate for cuddling sessions. I've noticed that professional cuddlers seem to be increasing their rates often. At least when the cuddler is the host, the rates are reasonable. Otherwise, some charge far too much, even just for being a guest, and they often add on travel fees too. What are your thoughts on this?

  • There are a lot of forum threads already on the topic of rates if you want to search for them.

Pros “should” charge whatever they think their time is worth.
@chasingworld At your job, “should” your salary be decided by Internet strangers and not by what you (or your employer) think your time is worth?
Pros on CC are independent contractors. Either you pay for this luxury service or you don’t. Either you hire a Pro or you work on your ability to find some sort of relationship that includes hugs.
Best of luck and I recommend that you take the advice from @mauvefox and read through the many threads on the subject.

  • “…what should be the typical hourly rate for cuddling sessions?”

Well that could be a challenge seeing we are a community with hundreds of thousands of beings spread out all over ! I always like the idea we are all individuals here and every encounter is something unique 😊.
Every professional encounter here has all kinds of variables like is this in person or virtual? What’s the cost of living like in this area ? Who’s hosting and where ? What time and how long ? Who is driving, where’s parking, there’s all kinds of different factors involved to be able to come up with a typical price AND if there was a “typical price ,” there would be peeps on both sides saying its not “typical”enough ! 🧐

  • One thing I am trying to wrap my head around, at least for my area, is why the base rate everyone charges starts at $120hr and can reach $180 for some. As an actual doctor, I had to spend 11 years in schooling, spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and now make the equivalent of $80hr, to quite literally save people’s lives. I’m in no way demeaning what the pros do here, I just want to understand the discrepancy in pricing. To my knowledge, correct me if I’m wrong as I very well could be, but there is no schooling or certification to even become a pro cuddler. You just agree to pay the 15% fee to CC

  • @innerpeace2000 Welcome to capitalism. If no one was paying their rates then the rates would come down if they are solely focused on the business end of things. Some charge more because they do not want every Tom, Dick and Harry cuddling them so their pricing narrows the field. The reasons are many, but the bottom line is they can charge as much as they wish.

Your profession is vital and I do understand the training, but I had a surgery that cost half a million dollars. While I was fortunate to have insurance, I still paid a lot. The bill caused me anxiety and I would have gladly paid the $120-180 an hour just for a couple of hours of respite from the worry if I knew about CC at the time. So I guess it’s all relative to every individual.

  • @innerpeace2000
There is also a difference between an hourly wage with benefits and a fee for service provider who gets no benefits. You are paid for all your work tasks per hour. You receive benefits package with vacation time. Those things are part of your compensation.

@innerpeace2000 You know the reason why, you graduated high school, we cover this day one in economics, supply and demand. The demand of their services, dramatically exceeds the supply, so prices go up.

While I do find some people's prices are ridiculously high, I do think enough ladies are pretty reasonably priced, or at least comparatively reasonable, that you can usually find someone you are comfortable with their prices.

It's not saving lives, neither is going to a spa or a fancy restaurant, but you expect to pay a premium price to get that type of service.

  • @innerpeace2000 This thread is not the right place for price complaints. Moving this to the Price Complaints megathread.

  • I think it’s funny when someone complains about the price point.
    Doesn’t make sense.
If it’s not for you, for whatever reason, then keep it moving… it’s not hard.
Like many have stated before we charge accordingly for many different reasons that we shouldn’t have to feel attacked for.
Just because you don’t agree with a pros price doesn’t mean there aren’t 100 more potential cuddles who are in their inbox with no problem to pay their requested fee.

So… what good does complaining do? 🤷🏽‍♀️

  • If it were 20 an hour there would still be someone saying well why isn't it 10

  • @pmvines Agreed… just seems silly to me. Wasted energy for nothing.

  • Because they are independent contractors and can set any rate they like
