I've always got rocks on hand. Here's some basalt with olivne and some hemimorphite (the blue one) and some of my favorite, a broken fibrous piece of green tourmaline

I paint rocks! Sooo many. Here are just a few...
I have so many!! scattered through the house and i'm not sure i have pictures of them. some are actually large, like a foot across and serve as pedestals for other things. some are much smaller, of course. I have this little glass bottle on the window sill in front of the sink and in there goes not rocks, but any tiny thing that has lost it's way, random beads, shoe from a small toy, marbles, etc. 😁

Found this heart shaped rock on a hike in the smokies a couple years back.
@MeltMyWay the bright blue one is Hemimorphite, it's a bit difficult to come by but worth the search. The green and black rock is Basalt (the porous black rock) and Olivine (the green mineral). The other mineral is green Tourmaline with Quartz. Ive got plenty more rocks, minerals, and fossils. From Epidote to an iron oxidized Scoria with an inclusion from a Cinder cone volcano
