What’s Your Favorite Comfort Activity?

My favorite comfort activity is relaxing with a good movie, listening to music, and having meaningful conversations with genuine people. Sometimes the simplest things—sharing a laugh, talking about life, or just enjoying a peaceful moment—can make all the difference. What about you?

  • As stupid is it sounds , nothing beats coming home from work to a quiet home and just sitting in the recliner vegging out to YouTube

  • Turning on either the PS5, Switch or PC and just playing whatever RPG I feel like getting into. Role Playing Games to me is the closest thing to reading a book because a story can be deep and engaging depending on what game you're playing and with the backlog of them I have, I got many to choose from.

  • @pmvines as long as you forward the funny ones. 😁

  • Sitting in my library chair looking out the window watching the birds at the bird feeders and yelling at the squirrels. That's my morning coffee routine (well tea now, coffee doesn't like me anymore). I find comfort in knowing that I am protecting my birds' food source from evil squirrels.

  • @Pasquia
I heard cayenne pepper. Squirrels hate it. Birds don’t care one way or the other. And the brome squirrel defender bird feeder. A little pricey but the squirrels can try. They will never get to the food.

  • Eating a gourmet cheeseburger that includes an overeasy egg or an avocado... or both, I guess.

  • Coloring is my go to on those days I just need to decompress and turn my brain off.

  • Eating ice cream covered up in a soft blanket.

  • Solve Rubik's cube

  • Easy answer is cuddling and talking. But I’m assuming you mean other than this?

Two other answers depending on mood.

First is quiet thinking after physically exhausting myself. Best recent example is just sitting on a rock after a strenuous hike. Catching my breath and letting my mind free associate.

The second is creation. Woodworking, drawing and sketching, doing projects. Building something of value is so satisfying I’d call it comfort.

  • Gourmet mac and cheese.

White cheddar. Martha Stewart recipe. Cook, eat, food coma.

  • Dancing - either by myself at home, or in an informal jam

    A cup of tea & a book

Snuggling up with my fur baby 🖤🐈‍⬛

Cooking a simple but yummy meal

Catching up with an old friend

Going for an easy walk in a local park or greenbelt

    Camping in the redwoods

  • I love longggg hot baths ❤️
I listen to music, or watch a show. I even do my homework in there😂

  • Relaxing and listening to music being caught up in my thoughts

  • @SpicyNSweet man, I wish I could still tolerate hot baths & hot tubs 😭 my joints & muscles miss them - my heart and autonomic nervous system, not so much 💀

Watching the news, playing guitar ,renting a kayak at the lake … soaking in hot soapy water in my sitting tub while sipping a cup of hot turmeric, ginger honey tea , listening to Enya and just enjoying the view out my window ( no one can see in of course) … sitting on a couch at Starbucks listening to my favorite podcast on my phone ( air pods in) while drinking a grande lavender chai tea latte with oat milk ( hot or iced) .. lately , I’m enjoying washing my dishes by hand rather than using the dishwasher…it’s just so relaxing ☺️

  • @cuddlefaery are you able to just soak your feet in a warm basin with Epsom salt? I find it very relaxing when I don’t have the time for a long bath.. I hear what you are saying 👍 maybe just trying to soak the feetz 🦶will help 😊

  • @pmvines that absolutely does not sound stupid, the moment u began describing it I felt the comfort of the silence. It's very soothing 👍🏽

  • I like listening to that instrumental coffee shop jazz they play around the holidays ... put my feet up with my heated back massager and a bunch of pillows in the right spots... I could doze off...

  • I agree with @pmvines

  • Drinking tea and crocheting. 👵🏻
