    Update

    • Deleting your account now has a 30-day cooling-off period. This allows us to moderate more effectively in certain situations but also allows the user to change their mind within that period.
    • Bug with Karma replies being cut-off has been fixed. @CreativeCuddles @CaringSoul @PinkLipstick22
    • Favourites limit has been increased from 10 to 40. @Gallowglass
    • Pros: Icon added within inbox to show when a conversation has not been replied to. @ubergigglefritz
    • Pros: Hourly discounts can now be set in your profile. This is mainly in preparation for new booking functionality.
  • Could you install a mute on the threads please? For those of us who regularly follow and don't have any interest in a certain post it would be nice to mute it so it doesn't keep popping to the top. It would fit very nicely next to the favorite star on the right side.

  • Thanks so much for the inbox icon!! =)

  • Has to be a better way to get the word out there are really noone offering services in my area. The ones that pop up are not professionals and dont answer back. I live in an amazing state with no snugglers. ?

  • @Mark thanks, I tried to, but I have no luck as my replies to my karmas are still cut off & it's still not letting me edit it.

Any previous replies will indeed needing editing to correct. I just logged into your account and was able to click 'Edit' and add more text to some of those cut-off karma.

What exactly is happening for you? Does the edit link not show for you? If not, can you delete and then submit again?

  • @Mark thanks now it's ok & I was able to edit & add more texts. But before, like 2 hours ago, when I press the edit button to add more texts & press update button, I was getting error messege like "oops sorry" . But now I'm able to fix it now thanks.

  • Any thoughts on adding a mute for the threads yet? Is it a possibility?

It might be possible in the future but I'm not a fan of the idea. When it comes to public forums, I think it's better that everyone sees what everyone else sees. Otherwise, you can end up having disruption to the flow of discussions due to some people not understanding references to things that they can't see.

I also think it's quite telling that in all the years I've worked with various forum software, this is never a feature I've seen as part of the default package. I'm sure it exists though.

So my opinion is it's preferable for people to just ignore the threads that don't interest them.

  • @Mark
I love that a discount feature was added for pros, but I think that it might not work too well for some of us for a couple reasons.

The discount is only listed in percentage.
I wanted to add a Karma Bonus on here because I give 1 hour free when a review is left. To have to put 1 hour, and then 100% off just doesn't read right to me from a client/buyers' perspective. Maybe there could be a price field along with the percentage, so that we have the option to choose a dollar amount, or type 'FREE'.

It also would not let me do more than 1 discount for the same number of hours. For instance, in addition to this Karma Bonus, I had inserted my Veteran and Military rate which is a 50% reduced hourly rate. It wouldn't let me submit because they both fall under "1 Hour", and I find that odd.

The way it's set up isn't conducive to accumulative or BOGO type deals.
I'm no math whiz but I've worked in retail long enough to know that there is more than one way to advertise the same discount, and the customer is more likely to fall for a percentage off, but for certain types of discounts, adding in percentages just convolutes the deal. I think in this case, either more fields are needed for buy 1-get 1, or certain fields should be made optional.

Sometimes I offer a deal where you get free hours back when you've purchased a certain amount of session time. For instance, for every 4 hours of session time a client completes with me, they accumulate 2 hours of free service which can be used towards any booking. So it's essentially Buy 4-Get 2. It's impossible for me to add this to the discount section in a way that wouldn't absolutely confuse the client, because the discounted amount is listed in percentage, and the 'hours' field assumes that I am offering bulk hours with a discount.

I know the feature is brand new and you might have future plans of your own to add onto it but this is just my .02!

I agree it's very basic in its current form. I do intend for it to support non-percentage type discounts, like packages.

This feature eventually should work for most Pros but there will be many who can't use it for their own method of discount. I don't think that's much of an issue though as the feature is optional.

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely review your post again when I come to looking at evolving the feature.

@Catloaf I just noticed your discount and I love it but sadly the system doesn't currently support any constraints. What I mean by that is when you create a discount, it will apply automatically for everyone who books with you (when the booking functionality goes live). You can still offer the discount unofficially and adjust the price at booking but the discount feature is intended to apply discounts automatically to everyone based on duration selected.

This is another example of something to be considered when improving the feature. I've removed the discount from your profile for now. Sorry!

  • Thanks for the reply.

  • Thanks @Mark I was able to update what it cut off when I initially posted the response to feedback, Thank You!

  • That's great :+1:

@Mark I agree that the percentages for discounts won’t work for me all of the time. I tried setting one up, but realized afterwards that it wouldn’t work because the price now varies from what my profile says. My main concern at the moment is that I cannot remove it even if I try to delete the listed discount.

@chels1994 Thanks for informing me about that bug. It's fixed now.

I'm curious why you didn't feel the feature was appropriate for you? It looked like you had it setup so that people who booked 2 hours or more would get a 12% discount. The standard hourly price remains showing to offer context.

  • [Deleted User]chels1994 (deleted user)

@Mark On my end it shows a price of $141 after the discount, when it’s supposed to be $140. The small discrepancy bothers me. Also, I don’t calculate price of the session by percentage. The price of the first hour is simply more than the subsequent hours, so converting to it was a little strange. If flat rates are added to the feature, then it will work great for me ??

Thank you for fixing the bug and continuing to put time and energy into listening to your users!

    Thank you for the feedback.

  • Hi - just one little thing...

In the profile section we are able to describe ourselves as man/woman/other, but in the search filters there is a radio button for user "cuddles..." which gives only man or woman. ("other" doesnt seem to be available in the filter)

Just a thought - otherwise a great site!

In a separate thread, a suggestion came up stating that people may disable their accounts for periods of time in order to not receive emails for messages and status updates on the site.

On both mobile and desktop browsers, the options we have for notifications are 'Instant', 'Once a day', and 'Once a week'. Followed by a separate series of notifications for forums use.

A suggestion I would like to make, is to expand notification options to the main site, by turning off all email updates, or, by having the general site have the same selection of checkboxes for what kind of notifications they want similar to how the forum notifications work.

  • Add a footer option for the forum. I would put my location, at a minimum, but other key information as well to reduce the number of people going to my profile for something simple. Thanks!

I'm with @Davy75: being able to search for people who cuddle "Other" (or "Everyone") would be nice. It doesn't do me much good to search for people who only cuddle men or women, after all!

I also like @ubergigglefritz's footer idea. Thumbs up!

  • @ubergigglefritz - I would just make it the same as the 'new cuddlers' ticker, where the age and location appears in a fainter font alongside the user name. Better still would be a popup when you leave the cursor on a username or on an '@' reference.

  • People might want different or additional information in a footer than just that. What you mentioned would be good too, but it's pretty standard to be able to create a footer for forum posts across all forums I've been involved with that I can think of. I still would like that feature to be added.

Personally, I dislike footers. It's too easily abused. People will put all kinds of gibberish there, like their favourite quote, a short poem, a bible reference or a political statement. One person was promoting his wife's online business in his footers. Now if there was an 'Ignore all footers' checkbox, that would work for me, but I wouldn't see anyone's footers.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

satwcomic.com puts information by the profile picture of commenters. Maybe something like that would work better than a footer?

  • Agree with the auto ID idea. Especially at the top, no reason it couldn't be below the name of the poster in light blue or next to it.

I'd also like to see a site notification of friend requests sent. Just noticed I had a friend request for at least three weeks but I never knew it was there because he didn't tell me he sent it. Friend request notification on profile page please.

  • @UKGuy Easy solution is to limit the length of the footer ;-) I like footers if they aren't crazy long. I don't see anything wrong with being allowed to have something that makes you you on the bottom of all your posts. It's the same with emails. But yeah, not going to make everyone happy with any change.
