This is probably a pipe dream along with the wiki idea, but it would probably be useful if there were a word cloud of keywords to allow quick searching of common topics. I.e Price, position, scam, pro, virtual, etc.
Even just having the search feature be easier to find & use (particularly on mobile) would go a long way.
Just google any keywords of the topic you are searching for followed by cuddle comfort ..it will pop right up and bring you to the post and back to the sight… ex: Price cuddle comfort forum …
@CuddleDuncan
The draft bug is fixed now. Links to old thread-starter drafts will now load the draft rather than be blank.
There should be a rule against empty profiles with no pictures. This is ridiculous. Cuddlers put themselves out there and these nameless faceless dudes can peruse our photos but provide nothing about themselves. It's pretty disgusting and predatory.
@Melita
I'm not one for what aboutisms , but did want to point out that there are plenty of women who don't have profile pics or filled out profiles either. It's not just men. Sometimes it's for nefarious purposes I'm sure. Often times it's not that deep.
If you're a cuddle pro then pics are required regardless of gender.
I have not been approached by any females, so I would not know. But it does seem like it should be required of everyone, period. If this site is committed to the safety of it's members, this should be a no-brainer. But it is not set up for safety or transparency, putting cuddlers at risk.
Cuddlers are at risk no matter what. Even with a filled out profile.
If it’s empty then I tend not to interact with them, but even when it’s filled out, through vetting it often becomes clear I don’t want to engage with them any more.
There are lots of reasons folk might not want their face on their profile. I don’t even have my face on my other personal social media accounts.
So it’s unlikely this site will ever require that of enthusiasts/clients.
But you absolutely can and should require that for them to interact with you.
My point is, we all should.
I wish there was an app or notifications when someone messages you or adds you as a friend! I feel like I constantly have to keep checking sometimes I forget but beside that I love everything else about this site so far ❤️
@snugglehugs You can receive notifications by email when you get a message. If you access on your phone you can tap on your thumbnail profile picture on the top right (from the homepage) and in the dropdown menu choose Settings. Scroll down to notifications.
@Carrie_Anne okay thank you! I'll do that
@snugglehugs You can also have Push Notifications: https://help.cuddlecomfort.com/article/33-do-you-have-an-app
@Mark that was helpful thanks 🤗💕
@Mark i think it doesn’t work for iPhones. At least it never has for mine. No matter how many times I’ve deleted and resaved it. 🤷♀️ I even just tried it again as the link shows it’s in beta. But it still wasn’t an option for me.
My push notifications used to work on iOS but now no matter what I do it never enables. Just perpetual processing with no function.
Thanks for the feedback guys. There does indeed seem to be an issue with Push Notifications not being able to turn on. Will do some testing and let you know when I have an update.
cc: @Gary
@Mark it’s not even an option for me to turn on at all. 🤷♀️ new phone. Updated iOS. I feel confident I’ve saved it correctly because it acts like a web app everywhere else. But there isn’t even a toggle for push notifications for me.
@lovingspoonfull @mauvefox @snugglehugs
Push Notifications should be fixed now.
There were two different issues:
Settings switch not working, causing a perpetual spinner: This was happening because we temporarily disabled push notifications in the background when investigating this thread a few weeks ago but forgot to re-enable when that was eventually resolved.
Feature had never showed: Some people had never been able to unlock the feature after following the required instructions here. That's because this beta feature was only partially rolled out to members (at random) as a precaution. It is now fully rolled out.
finally showing up @Mark Thank you!!
Great! Thanks for confirming.
I can’t believe this post has 111 pages. That’s a lot of suggestions!
Anyhoo, I know this one has been brought up before, but I think it’s worth mentioning again to benefit new members that might not be ready to send a booking proposal right away but don’t see a place to just send a message.
The REQUEST TO BOOK really should be changed to MESSAGE OR REQUEST TO BOOK because that duality of purpose is what it actually is.
I don’t know anything about website programming, but it seems like it should be an easy fix, no?
This is actually logged internally already with a suggested change to: 'Message & Book'
Yes, a text change is easy but when it comes to touching a primary call-to-action like that, conversion impact is an important consideration. So the plan has been to first A/B test that text change as a precaution. I'll move it up the list.
👏 🙏
Dang, some people are 🔥 🥵 a little feisty on here lol. Well, I just wanted to throw in my experience as someone whose been a Pro here since 2017. I have been impressed with the mods on this site, from Day 1. They've helped me feel heard and safe. I've been put on a temporary suspension once, but for good reason, sharing numbers before a Booking- learned the lesson and never a problem since. I've reported some, and had results every time. I've also been reported on, and, while it was not easy, I was able to reference my messages, and prove I was not in the wrong at all, but rather, someone was retaliating. What this proved for me, is that the mods are fair, reasonable, and attentive. Granted, everyone isn't perfect, mistakes will happen, but regardless, you can use the rules of the site to your advantage- I keep everything on the site involving finances, the session details and such, as transparency has been my savings grace. Another point - helping each other. I have always approached other Pros as friends, co-workers, someone to help, lean on, and learn from. It has really helped me grow, and catch red flags much sooner. Good luck to all and may joy follow you 😊
Why do we need the visited you section?
So you will know when I click on your profile
It shows who might possibly be interested in a cuddle session. For Pros especially - because it’s not allowed/against the rules for a Pro to initiate contact or solicit unless someone has viewed their profile. If a Pro sees that a person has viewed them, then they can send an intro message to a potential client.
I'd still love to have the ability to archive messages. I don't want to delete them. because I'd like to be able to reference them in case that person shows back up again. But I don't want to have them bog down everything.
@Mark
Since there has been an influx of cuddle meetup posts how would you feel about giving that it's own subforum
It has crossed my mind but I do worry about fragmentation when it comes to new sub-forums. I've experienced the downsides of it in other community forums and it can feel significant.
So yes, I think it could make sense at some point but it's a question of when the time is right.
