  • I hear you thanks

  • @pmvines
You just want your pretend one stickied to the top of it. 🤗

  • @Carrie_Anne i thought so, thank you!

  • @mauvefox

Nah. However a stickied poops mega thread might be nice 🙂

  • @Mark great to see your feedback here!

I'm curious, you wanted to make the cuddle world better - why was that? Also, what is your long term vision and plan for the site?

  • @Mark it now enables for me too, thank you.

  • Holy crap, push notifications actually works now 😳

  • Yeah it's awesome! Thanks for making it happen 🌹😊😊 @Mark

  • @Mark a weird thing with the push notifications though. they keep just shutting off on their own. I will get the for a few hours, then nothing but I have messages, and I check and it's shut off, so i turn them back on. Same thing has happened three times now.

  • what about verified users

  • @mauvefox it did that to me once, after I went to the site through my browser. Since I've only been accessing the site through the app, the push notifications are working as they should.

  • A log out button on the mobil site, please!!

  • @great_pillow08 there is a logout option through settings on the mobile. click on our pic in the upper right corner, settings, down under take a break is the logout option.

  • @Adragayle I'll try that. i have it saved as an app on my computer to and enabled the same push notiifcations, maybe they were fighting with each other being set differently. 🤷‍♀️ we'll see how it goes.

@great_pillow08 @mauvefox depending on the mobile browser and settings, you can also drag any page to the right to make a sidebar for the site appear with icon links. At the very bottom of those links, there's a power off symbol that will log you out.

Edit: fixed my settings so I could get a better screenshot.

  • I think “log out” means something different to @pmvines. It is a toilet command in his world.

  • I command obedience from my toilet @FunCartel_ I'm quite the dom when it comes to the lavatory

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess log in is when you have to pucker up because company knocked on the door.

    @mauvefox

It’s important to turn it on from the web app version of the site, meaning open Cuddle Comfort from the icon you saved to your Home Screen. The notification setting is connected to that app instance. If you later open the site in a normal browser tab, that can behave like a separate instance and may not show the same push setting. Either way, make sure you stay logged in.

    EDIT:

I’ve reset the push notifications on your account as it was logging duplicate devices/instances potentially from toggling the setting on/off each time you felt there was an issue when opening a browser.

  • A suggestion that I think would be nice to have on the website is for messages between cuddlers to setup a session together if there is a way for users to know if the other cuddler has seen the message. Kind of like on Facebook Messenger or on iPhone to IPhone texting messaging you can see if a person has opened and seen your message. Sometimes when you send a message to another cuddler and want to set up a session they end up never responding and you don't know if they have seen your message and just have not responded and choose not to respond or they just simply have not seen your message even after you sent a follow-up message a week or so later just in case they did not see the first one. Just a suggestion

  • This is a minor annoyance but persistent across devices. I saw a post where at least one other member had the same issue.

My location is set to MN but when I log in it always defaults to Houston. VPN off, and this happens across chrome, Firefox, Edge, phone, tablet, etc.

I would guess it’s a server side/site default setting as it’s not a cookie or saved location.

Not a big deal but worth fist if easy to do.

  • @MustHugDogs yes, I live in KC and it defaults to Dallas on mine. Before that it was defaulting to Raleigh, NC. Really weird.

    @MustHugDogs @TheFunCartel

Thanks for sharing. It's a UI flaw that needs addressing.

It actually is a custom search but where a name wasn't given so it defaults to 'Cuddlers' which gives the unhelpful impression of being a standard search.

In the meantime, you can fix this yourself by clicking the star icon on the top right of the search page and then delete it.

  • @mark they fixed it. Thank you!

  • Feature requests:

    • Ability to archive messages - not just delete them
    • Move the select/multi-select box for messages on the left
    • Ability to organize favorites list
    • Ability to tag users in addition to notes

Please forgive me for repeating this one, but I do think it’s a biggie.

*** I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A HIDE BUTTON FOR PROFILES ***

Soooooo many times I’ve clicked onto someone’s profile only to realize that I’ve seen it before and for whatever reason(s) I have not been interested.

This would be a big time saver for the user as well as the recipient not left wondering “why does this person keep viewing my profile but not messaging me?”

    Thoughts?

I'm a guy who's been on this site for about a month now. Pro prices are unfortunately way out of my reach and thus I have been looking for enthusiast women to meet with. I've shared some nice conversations with a few people for which I am grateful, but usually I check the site to see none of the people I've sent messages to yesterday respond and there's hardly any other enthusiast women local to me (I'm in LA) active today.

It's been acknowledged on the forums before that it's very difficult to be a female enthusiast on this site with men bombarding them with low-effort messages all the time; I'm guilty of this too, always sending the "Hey! How are you?" unless there's something on their profile that I feel brave enough to comment about. At times, these go beyond just innocent requests to cuddle with men not understanding that this is not a dating or hookup site.

I would have to do more homework on the discussion that's surrounded this topic and the general trends because these are mostly based on my own assumptions, but I have some random ideas for how we can change the site and possibly better accommodate enthusiasts of all genders, mostly working around my idea of the issues female enthusiasts experience.

There exists a mute button that hides profiles off of search results, but it must not really be taken advantage of if people's inboxes are still getting blown up. I think it could be helpful to have this functionality on by default and, when signing up, prompt the user to disable it manually. I guess it could be a deterrent to make new enthusiasts aware of the possibility of spam, but my argument is that they would find out before long if we kept the current system. It might help filter out the noise and unwanted advances at the beginning and foster their retention.

I also think that it's kind of problematic that profiles can be completely empty. I don't think people with empty profiles should be messaging those with detailed biographies outlining boundaries, personality traits, and hobbies. When I first started out, I had basically nothing on my profile, and I can't believe I actually expected to have people respond to me. Maybe it's an elitist take, but I see no reason why it should remain this way. We need some sort of way to encourage people to fill out their profiles thoroughly. My only concern here is that with the advent of LLMs, people would just resort to lazily prompting for a bio that's long enough to feign some application of effort; people already do this anyways and this might just exacerbate the problem.

I think some sort of match system might help filter out even more noise, especially when it comes to barring people from messaging repeatedly and not getting the memo that the person they're trying to contact is not interested. This one poses an obvious problem: this isn't a dating site, and modeling the site to more closely resemble a dating app might confuse new users even more. But I think it's still worth looking into implementing a system where both parties know they're interested before a conversation even takes place to hopefully establish some sort of boundary from the get go.

Since these suggestions stem mostly because of what I've observed to be the female enthusiast experience, I ask female enthusiasts (though everyone is free to respond): what would you want to be done about the site to better your experience or are you already happy with the current setup?

  • You can install all the buttons you want but the fact remains that men overwhelmingly outnumber women on here and as soon as someone is off mute the inundation will begin anew.

The match system would suck and just encourage gas lighters and others that know how to play to the algorithms to prosper in a sense while the honest people who would love to cultivate an organic friendship or cuddle relationship might fall through the cracks. I am against more technology taking away decisions that one’s intuition can easily navigate.

(Unrelated but thank you to whoever moved my post to this thread, I didn't even know you could do that)
Considering the current demographics, yeah I agree spam is inevitable with muting turned off, which is why I'm suggesting it be turned on by default for all users (with a notification that it is of course)
The actual ratio of men to women on this site is a bit tricky because it's not so much a problem with the site as it is with whatever leads to so many men becoming touch starved in the first place. The only other way I can think of to work around it site-wise is to limit the amount of users online so the gender ratio is roughly the same, but it has the obvious problem of being biased against men, particularly straight men. Maybe you could argue that some straight men on the site need to learn how to properly conduct themselves based on some of the forum posts I've read and that could be a way to facilitate that.
I think the argument against a match system is fair enough, I've never used dating apps before but now that you mention it I would imagine that they're heavily algorithmically driven. I do still think there's a problem with allowing people to send unsolicited messages, at times repeatedly. I would want something that stops that from ever happening in the first place. Maybe not a match system, but something that conveys to both parties that they're interested in talking before any messages get sent.

    Sounds convoluted for convolution's sake.
