What do women look for when they are checking a man’s profile?

edited June 19 in General

I’ve been trying to get in contact with some cuddlers in my area and have only gotten a couple responses. I’m curious as to what things women look for on a guys profile that determine whether they want to send a reply back.
Feel free to look at my profile and critique me so I can improve
Hugs from Arizona 🤗
Thanks for your responses! 😁

  • No warrants.

  • Having friends and good karma helps! Also, a clear profile with positive description of why are you looking for a cuddle therapist.

    .

  • @WestsideMarc good thing I don’t have a criminal record 🙌 😆 (I assume that’s what you mean at least)

@VelvetLanding I’m kind of new on this site. How does the friend system work?
    Karma makes sense
I think I have a clear profile. Let me know if I’m wrong.

  • A profile. It's surprisingly not that low a bar.

  • Awwwww @Jeremiaaahhh your whole vibe is actually quite adorb! I think your profile is wholesome and inviting. You have multiple photos which is a plus too!
If you are reaching out to non pros you might just be getting lost in the shuffle. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Keep doin you boo!

  • @Jeremiaaahhh your profile looks great!
I hope you are able to connect with people in your area. Happy Cuddles! 🤗

    @WestsideMarc Amen! 🙌🏼

  • Awwww. Thank you @BrokenWillow 🥰
I really appreciate that. It’s super encouraging because I’m trying to find non pros and I was like, “Am I doing something wrong?” Are my silly icebreakers not working? Do I have the wrong main photo?

    Thanks @MTex . Appreciate it 😊

@Jeremiaaahhh just so your expectations are set my friend, female enthusiasts here are unicorns, that’s just the way it is- even with an extremely robust profile, 36 karmas and living here in Los Angeles with a population of literally 10,000,000 people it’s still very difficult for me. The m:f ratios are quite lopsided. Women come on here, dip their toe in the water, get inundated with messages, maybe get creeped out and then jump off the platform. Or they just immediately see the opportunity to make money and then they turn pro.

So ya know, for the longest time I would not go the pro route just on GP (general principle). For me, the thought of “paying someone to cuddle me” was distasteful, embarrassing and a little degrading TBH. That’s just how I felt.

Then there came a time where I finally put it all aside and acquiesced to the process and started going the pro route.

If you’re fortunate enough to have any enthusiast meets at all, cherish those opportunities and try to perpetuate those cuddleships.

In any event, if you look long and hard enough, magic will come to your doorstep….

  • Photo. How long you’ve been on the app. karma.

  • Thank you for the useful information @WestsideMarc
I’m going to do my best to not get discouraged in the search and eventually I’ll find something lord willing. Even if I end up coughing up a few dollars.

Another question I have along that line is I hope that I can make friends, not just cuddle buddies. And I feel with the professional route most might see you as a client and not a possible friend; and that it would be rude to bring it up. Is that wrong to think? I’m genuinely curious about this

@ChiaraCuddles Thank you. Makes sense. What would you consider to be the amount of minimum time they’ve had the app? A month or two? More? Thanks 🤗

@Jeremiaaahhh To see if he is also a were shifter.

    🐺💜😊

  • @Jeremiaaahhh I like your profile. Pics are a huge plus. I will always ask for a photo anyway. I think your profile pic is just right! I am a pro in AZ and it appears to me there are plenty out here. Some are just less available than others, I suppose. This is my main gig. I wouldnt necessarily take it personally! Everybody has their own reasons for who they choose to cuddle with. I think you are doing just fine being yourself 😊

  • Mini bio (like a few sentences at minimum to show effort) + karma

  • I would say karma is the #1 thing. Not just the quantity but also seeing who is leaving the karma. Women on this site talk and collaborate with each other often, especially amongst pros and it’s good to have pros they know and trust vouch for you.

Having nice profile pictures is a must as well. You show a lot about yourself through pictures.

And then of course write a good profile about why you’re here, what you’re looking for, etc.

@Jeremiaaahhh I just checked out your profile and I think it is wonderful: You have a few pictures and suffice bio that sounds genuine. However personally I tend to visit people’s profiles only when they booked and/or visited my profile a few times and not saying hi. About your inquiry on friendships, there are possibilities. But don’t bank on it as financial stipulations tend to be the drive of the meeting the first place.

  • As a pro I expect very little, the only thing I don't want to I see is a one star karma but other than that blank profiles are the norm. I have a separate screening process so I don't rely on profiles.

  • Thank you all so much for the encouragement and advice!

That makes sense on the friendship side @natasya148

  • @BrokenWillow it's never good to add anything when someone else says it perfectly and probably better than I could. I totally agree with her. You seem like a dream to cuddle.

  • They look for the same thing they look for in the club, coffee shop, bookstore, etc. Even then, the stars have to align, she has to be in the right mood, etc. After all that, you are dude #100 who messaged the exact opening word-for-word. From the male perspective, it is random happenstance.

Keep messaging, enlarge the search area, don't get hung up on looks, and put some creative thought into your initial message. Good luck!

  • This is a good one! Karma, a lovely photo, a small description and how you message me. :)

  • Honestly, I can only speak for myself, but the first things I notice are whether someone seems genuine, respectful, and clear about what they're looking for. A good profile photo helps, but I pay even more attention to how they communicate and whether their personality comes through. I also look for signs that they understand boundaries, know how to treat people with kindness, and have put some effort into their profile. A few details about their interests, hobbies, or what they're hoping to find make it much easier to start a conversation. And of course, if they have reviews or karma, I definitely read those too. 😊

  • A filled out one. Those that took the time to explain who they are, what they want/need. Any kind of Effort goes along way. I also respect honesty upfront. I don't want to be surprised that you are married. I know a few married on here who are open with their spouses .

I appreciate some personality. Anything letting us readers know that you can be trusted and or safe go be around.

  • Depends on whether I’m looking as a pro or enthusiast- as an enthusiast, the bar would be different. I would not care to see gym shots, flexing, or anything like that. I’d almost see it as a dating profile because I’d be intentionally willing to take my time to get to know someone. I’d more than likely need to like them and be attracted in some way. I’d look for things we had in common and lifestyle factors. If I don’t drink nor smoke, I’m not going to be interesting in connecting with someone who does. I’d be reading karma and the profile thoroughly.
As a pro it’s different. I’m here to provide a service to anyone that’s seeking. My main things are looking at if they’re reputable and safe based upon their karma and how I’m being approached. A lot of clients are traveling, married, and etc. So it’s really two completely different trajectories.
