  • It’s a great feature. Imagine NOT having it?

  • @TheFunCartel Thank you for blocking me. All I'm saying is be nice to people.

@Thewalkingman2 All I am saying is grow a sense of humor. Seems as though you are the only one taking offense. The block was a joke too. I will take it off.

So you are telling me that you would be offended if I asked why you chose a screen name after an aborted Sony cassette player project?

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪

  • Play it as loud as possible @TheFunCartel

  • @Thewalkingman2 here's some pop culture for you. Please try to enjoy it with a smile

  • I don't know what's so hard to understand about being nice to people, or not making fun of them or the names they have, even jokingly. We teach the same thing to our kids and the schools teach it to the students. At school it's called bullying. Criticize the message all you want but not the messenger.

I have a sense of humor, but not at the expense of others, and if @alvin152 could laugh with you there would be no problem at all. But by continuing to bring up themes about the chipmunks it is really not very funny.

I'm not attacking @Goonie4life or @TheFunCartel . I understand where you're coming from. I'm done with this subject and hope you are too.

@Thewalkingman2 Yes, we know what bullying is. I also know when someone suffers from a tree part being stuck in a place it shouldn’t be in a person’s anatomy, when they are inflicting their self-righteousness on strangers, and when they spew condescension. You are suffering from all three and if the chipmunks reference is so egregious, you can report it. Otherwise, stop judging and acting like a wannabe Dr. Laura.

Criticize the message all you want but not the messenger.

I will criticize the messenger when they do not understand that this is an internet board full of adult strangers and not a school where children are learning. Making light of a chosen screen name via a pop culture reference is not the same as bullying. If the person who you perceive as a victim said that hurts my feelings and I persisted by taunting them, ridiculing them, and otherwise stalking them to make fun of them, then that would be bullying. I am not targeting them. There are plenty of things on these forums to be outraged about, but Alvin and the Chipmunks is not one of them.

  • It seems a lot of people get confused about the definition of the term bullying. So here you go as defined by MW:

1: abuse and mistreatment of someone vulnerable by someone stronger, more powerful, etc.

2: prone to or characterized by overbearing mistreatment and domination of others

    From stopbullying.gov:

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.

As you can see, this doesn’t include a one time joke on a forum full of adults.

A joke can be in bad taste, it can be unwanted, it can fall under sexual harassment when of a certain nature but a one time joke is not bullying.

  • Me: This escape room sucks.

Dr: I remind you this is a psych ward

  • Happy to oblige

  • Sometimes that is for the best. This community relies on respect and communication and both parties need to be understanding of this.

  • Yes I randomly get blocked for what I think is no reason at all but looking back I believe it’s because I don’t respond “fast enough” (or as fast as they would want). I also got blocked right after sending my boundaries so definitely a blessing in disguise. I’d rather not have to go through that in person
