  • Like as in how we can't explain what our tongue tastes like

  • Like as in how mirrors don't break , they only multiply

  • Like as in how your nose runs, but your feet smell

  • Like as in how saying you're up for something as well as down for something both mean the same thing

  • @pmvines Similar tp your pizza thing, what about square burgers on round buns? Or, selling 10 hot dogs in a package and only packs of 10 buns (Well, that's actually obvious...)

  • @pmvines Wait, "Things that dont make sense that do..." How does that make sense?

  • Why you pay more for a small, medium
Or large soda when you can refill it?

  • Why you need to keep paying property taxes after you house has been paid off?

  • @pmvines So...Do they or don't they make sense? I am confused by the title of this discussion 🤔🤯

  • The way you pronounce “a” in a sentence in English can change the tense. English is weird.

  • How 1+1 = 2. But two 1's together is 11.

  • "Like as in how we can't explain what our tongue tastes like"

You can't lick your own tongue? Weird. Mine has a very subtle ham flavour (although I haven't eaten ham in 15+ years - so I could be misremembering).

Why is a strike a bad thing in baseball but a good thing in bowling?

Yeah I stole that one from Flo, the Progressive Insurance girl.

  • Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?

I don’t know. These are funny though

  • @SqueezeBuddy
The drink sizes and free refills, I think about that every time I pay for a small drink and refill it a couple of times, I am grateful that the restaurant doesn’t seem to get it. But I think they only pay for the cups and the syrup is free? Something like that.

  • Why do my ice cube trays have openings in the four corners that result in conjoined ice cubes?

  • for larger cups maybe?

  • Like as in how if you're dead , what language do you think in ?

Like as in how if you're blind, what do your dreams look like?

Like as in how there are more nipples in the world than there are people

  • Like as in how the printing press, batteries, and steam engine were all invented before toilet paper

  • @pmvines the Chinese invented toilet paper in the 6th century

  • Hmmm guess we were late to it here then lol

  • Until the waffle iron was invented, there was no such thing as a waffle.

  • Why do my ice cube trays have openings in the four corners that result in conjoined ice cubes?

@IronicMaiden I don't know if it's the actual reason, but there's a hack to fill the tray faster by allowing the water to flow from one cell to the next, rather than filling one at a time. You just aim the water at the + juncture of the cell walls and it fills 4 cells at once, and if one overfills it will flow into an adjacent. The trick is just to not overfill the cells to avoid them all sticking together 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @cuddlefaery That makes sense. Plus this way they even out and are roughly the same size. If you had to fill each separately and make sure to fill them to equal height but not overfill them, that would take forever!

  • These totally remind me of two of my favorite comedians. George Carlin and Stephen Wright.

I know it one time hotdog and buns used to always match, but there’s so many different products now that they don’t but it’s become one of those confounding mysteries that people bring up.

Another one I hear is you will never really see yourself unless you’re looking at a mirror or picture.

In the past, and sometimes now I would love to read, origins of stuff and just learning in general. Before the Internet, I used to be called Cliff Claven. Since I usually had the answer to a lot of weird obscure information as well as being facetious. Now I’ve been linked to Wikipedia a few times,

  • You can't kiss yourself in the mirror except on the lips.

  • Wasn’t the hot dogs in packs of 8 and buns in packs of 12 question from an Animaniacs episode?

  • @disneysamurai
Animaniacs often asked the hard questions 😁

  • @Bear

Reminds me of "Memory is a mirror, but even the clearest mirror reverses right to left".

    @disneysamurai

They did, though as I recall, it was about hot dogs in packages of 10 and buns in packages of 8. Poor guru couldn't answer that question. But I also remember it from before Animaniacs.
