  • @trysdet i’m a little bit confused because you say part. I was thinking you designed your creative part on that kit, but the whole kit comes up. Are you saying you have a Batmobile car?

I have a Star Wars Lego set. I forget which one that someone gifted to me. I have far more Doctor Who stuff. I had a ton of it before they got destroyed in a flood when I was a teenager. And there seems to be old Doctor Who versus new Doctor Who fans so I basically have a few different tardis replicas.

One of the easiest to get a picture of is a wall clock I have but I also like Daleks

  • @Bear im also a doctor who fan and one of my favorites is the Van Gogh exposing tardis. I’ve got it on several things.

I remember watching the old ones with my dad growing up, but they are hard to watch now. They are just so slow moving. 😂

Let your geek flag fly proudly folks. 😁🤗

  • @mauvefox that’s become a favor as well. Cause it’s got the tardis and I really come to enjoy that picture in general. I have a floor welcome mat with the Doctor Who pitcher and I have a ring which is the theme of the picture. I also had a credit card skin that I recently had to get rid of that was just of the picture without the tardis.

  • 76333 is the whole kit yes. That's cool. I'd love to have a tardis to put outside my front door. Then it would be like the inside of the tardis is bigger than the outside

  • I was going to comment, but I have already been outgeeked.

  • I have a TARDIS dress and two Star Trek dresses (one blue (science), one red (engineering)). Currently in a Doctor Who rewatch, on the second Doctor now, and made better by all the animated lost episodes.

  • @mauvefox @Bear Starry Night is one of my favorite paintings in general. I also have a lot of items with variations of it. In addition to the TARDIS version, I have several black cat ones and one I painted myself. I've been tempted to add the TARDIS and black cats to it 😅 but it took so long to finesse, I hate to cover up any of the details.

  • @Bear I have a Christmas ornament of the tardis that makes the house but its battery is dying and I’ll have to find a new one.

One of my favorite episodes was Amy ponds wedding day where she lists off “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue” to bring him back.

  • @cuddlefaery I love it! He’s one of my favorite artists in general so the episode with him was so wonderful for me.

  • @cuddlefaery i like this Van Gogh painting. Samantha has a shirt with this painting on it

  • @trysdet the setting up a TARDIS in front of your door is kind of genius. Heck, you could even just paint your front door & frame!

Let's do that faery, paint the door I mean

  • Don't you think the stars in Starry Night look like roundels from the classic TARDIS?

  • For my own geekiness:

I used to have Kaylee's parasol hanging in my room, from when I dressed up as her for Halloween multiple times. Sadly it eventually tore and wasn't easily repairable, so I need to get or make a new one.

Same with my fairy wings. I used to have multiple pairs, but time isn't kind to fragile fabrics. I think I'll just buy a pair rather than make them again, though - working with thin nylon and chiffon without it snagging and running was a nightmare.

All my books are in storage after multiple moves in small spaces - I want to eventually have my own place where I can have a library, or at least a cozy book nook

  • I think the nerdiest thing I have is my Venom tattoo. There are a bunch of figurines, toys, books, decor, and mugs littering my home, but that definitely wins out.

  • @JustAGuy215
One of my kiddos was home after having her tonsils out and on one of the days she wanted to watch venom. And for the longest time the “nobody likes you Dan” was the vocal stim happening on repeat.

  • I love going to ren faires. I haven’t dressed up properly for one yet and that might be because I can’t really decide one just one thing. Because what if I just am a pirate fairy princess who dabbles in the dark arts. 🤷‍♀️

  • @mauvefox I love dressing up for faires! Many of them have costume rentals for the day, which is a great way to try out different styles. I did that last time since my old garb didn't fit any more. I still really want to do an all-out fairy sometime - I only half assed it before 😅 a lot of the fairies at faire are extremely elaborate though! The imposter syndrome kicks in

  • @cuddlefaery the imposter syndrome is for real. Sometimes I think about the few items I’ve got on hand and I think I could probably pull together an outfit. But then I remember what other attendees have worn. Not even employees. Just folks going to hang out.
The stuff I have works for a pinch for trick or treating with my kiddos. But not in the light of day surrounded by folks who clearly know more about garb than I do. 😂

  • Well lets see, I have the original play station (still works) through the PS5. Though it the digital only future, I will go steam only. I have DnD books going back to 1st edition, I haven't dipped my toes into 5th edition yet. I love going to ren faires and anime/game conventions. With the exception of the Enterprise series I have probably seen every Star Trek show and movie that's come out, same with Star Wars. And of course, I enjoy anime and mange, old stuff as well as new.

  • I can beat battletoads on original hardware

And today I fought miniature giant robots with other miniature giant robots.

Another Who fan too though I fell off during moffet’s show running.

The well goes deeper than the character limit 🙃

  • @Elrondish you forgot the most obvious one... Your username 😁

  • @mauvefox Your kid sounds amazing. Let them know that "We are Venom." Please and thank you.

  • @JustAGuy215
It was definitely a parenting win from my perspective. Similar to when they all start singing along to Ozzy or the Beatles in the car. 😂

  • @cuddlefaery well yeah, if ya know you know 😄

I study plants in my free time 🤷🏽‍♀️
Then I find different ways to extract the medicinal benefits from them and turn them into something useful. My alchemist brain lights up like 🔥
I will create different formulas for their best use by a lot of trial and error. Getting to know each plant by touch, taste, smell and how it makes me feel.

    Nerdlife

  • @Elrondish i still can’t get past that third stage on the hoverbike

  • In the cult of Dungeon Crawler Carl

  • @disneysamurai one day, you will find yourself before the turbo tunnel and you will find zen. And you will complete the level and find a new place to be stuck 🙃

  • Thinking about how geeky heavy metal is. Iron Maiden is pretty geeky, with songs like "Flight of Icarus" and "To Tame a Land" (based on Dune) and the cover art for Stranger in a Strange Land. But they are far outgeeked by bands like Battlelore (all songs based on Lord of the Rings) and Star One (all songs based on science fiction stories, and the name came from an episode of Blake's 7).

And I could easily add a bunch of other bands here, but that might be a bit much.
