The firm I used to work for shared the building with a fitness center. It was fairly common for some folks to go next door and get showered before attending an after-hours company social.
Yes, I get the feel there may be some soft trolling at hand too. But I guess I'm just a meanie for not being sensitive and welcoming to the OP 🙄 Mr insensitive me is
Whatever floats their boat 🛥️! Doesn’t matter!
I just can't imagine preferential treatment in cuddling, especially based on clothes of all things! 🤷🏼
When want to have cuddles time?
Are they giving you more attention because they're impressed or because they think it's odd?
Random musings so please forgive me.
I’ve always showed up in a black t shirt and was always treated like a king. No I don’t need a suit lol. Girls legit don’t care about that. Being fit works better than a suit in all situations, well outside of cuddling. Pick up some dumbbells and do some chin-ups and stop drinking soft drinks if you want more respect based on your looks. No really.
If you want to enhance your looks above and beyond being fit and wearing a black t shirt then wear a $10,000+ watch with the t shirt.
Think I’m joking? This is Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters. He’s like 70. He looks way better and less intimidating than anyone in a suit. Just saying. In a contest of what you think is going on, Ernie is going to win.
@CO_dreaming Ernie does look great. This style harkens back to Marlon Brando and James Dean in the 1940's and 1950's, and I'm sure before...
However, being in good shape or having muscles shouldn't make anyone treat you better, anymore than wearing a suit.
I recently was approached by a guy who was ripped in all his pictures, and super attractive...he even had good Karma. But after PMing for awhile, I politely told him I didn't feel a connection and wasn't interested in meeting or cuddling.
If someone's communication and personality isn't cutting it, I'm not gonna meet up with them just for eye candy. That would honestly show a lack of respect for both of us.
We can all benefit from a healthy lifestyle, but we should do it for ourselves, not in the hopes it will change how others treat us.

Candy for both the eye and the tooth should be enjoyed in moderation.
I'd be tempted to wear my Shiny Umbreon Pokemon onesie to a cuddle session if it weren't too warm for cuddling. The ears and tail are ridiculous. 😆
Appearance doesn't and shouldn't garner ACTUAL respect. Yikes.
People who say "Anyone can buy a suit" haven't bought a suit recently lol.
You said always, so that means you've not shown up in comfortable attire. I've never had someone show up in a suit. They've shown up in a shirt and slacks with a bag to change in, but most have shown up in a t-shirt and b-ball shorts. I just want to know if they're recently showered and either just changed into those before coming or have clean lounge wear to change into
@VAdude I disagree. Didn't say the suit has to be expensive 🤣
Marlon Brando. More from my parents generation but omg
@VAdude having bought several cheap suits, and even rented them... Sure, some people may not be able to afford one because they can't afford extra expenses period. But there's suits in thrift stores, on eBay, in costume rental shops, on FB marketplace. There's also charities that provide suits for people who are unemployed for interviews and new jobs.
It's not the luxury item it once was. Can they be expensive? Absolutely, but a little creativity and flexibility gives a lot of options.
Now if only I had digital copies of pictures of me in said suits - I wore the heck out of a 3 piece of even top hat and tails 😂 and danced in them!
My favorite was this one:
Now, if someone showed up in that, I WOULD be impressed 😁
So...do you just show up in the suit and change? Or...do you go to bed in the suit....
What kinda suit are talking about? Full 3 piece suit? Pocket watch? Tie or bow tie? Or....Ascot...?!
The OP still has not answered the most essential question—in what way is he being treated “better” and how does he know he has compared to other clients?
So...do you just show up in the suit and change?
Yes.
@cuddlefaery the cheat for a digital pic is you just take a pic of the pic with your phone. I’ve done it a ton. You can then crop it and straighten it out after if you want to. Have to try to avoid the glare. Hope that helps! 😁
@DtheJinn I’m imagining full on Peaky Blinders. Or the only other option would be steam punk.
This feels a bit like Schroedinger’s wardrobe here. We aren’t judging people for their clothes. And yet… if wearing a suit makes you feel good about yourself, we’re judging you.
Am I reading the room correctly on this one?
@MonkeyNeedsAHug You make an excellent point, hence people calling out the rudeness of the responses, earlier. However, OP never said he felt good in a suit. He only talked about it impressing people.
If a client is trying to impress me, they’re there for the wrong reasons, and I can typically suss that out before a booking is confirmed. If a client wants to wear a suit, by all means. But no, I’m not impressed by it. If anything, I’m more comfortable with a client who dresses appropriately for the occasion — cozy, comfortable, relaxed.
I see at least one pro cuddler in this thread who says she’d get the ick if I showed up for cuddles straight from work. But honestly, that position has me second-guessing myself. About half of my cuddles take place “right after work”. And I almost always show up for those wearing a suit. I do bring a change of clothes to cuddle in. But I don’t shower after court. It’s court; it’s not an abattoir.
Am I doing something wrong here?
@MonkeyNeedsAHug Nope, nothing wrong at all. The rules specify the need to shower "within 12 hours of the appointment". Not immediately before, despite some peoples' preference.
The desire to impress others on here with your clothes is...certainly a choice. Seems to be a confused one.
@MonkeyNeedsAHug He didn’t say he felt better about himself. He said he was treated better, got more “attention” (and he still hasn’t clarified how), and asked if pros found suits impressive.
If you show up for your cuddle and feel good about how clean you are and someone doesn’t want you to cuddle right from work then they’re not the cuddler for you. But people have definitely opted to shower when they arrive. Some do, some don’t.
I do ask everyone to bring a change of clothes so we’re not wearing the street, our cars, whatever into the cuddle.
And to the general fun police: No one judged. No one was rude. Some answered the question. They just didn’t agree with the OP that it would be impressive. Some expressed that trying to impress your pro cuddler was kind of a weird thing to do. And some people had fun and told some light hearted jokes. 🙄
That is all that happened.
