Cuddle in public??

I’m curious how public cuddle sessions usually work. Do people meet first at a coffee shop or restaurant just to talk and get acquainted, or does the cuddling actually happen in a public place like a park? I’m interested in how a typical first meeting is handled.

  • I wouldn’t know, I don’t cuddle in public during Arizona weather.

  • I saw a Pro who recently suggested that if you're by a park and own a hammock, that could be a potential venue.

  • I only do public cuddles. I always meet someone at a coffee shop first so we can talk and make sure we both feel comfortable. If everything feels right, we move to the back seat of my SUV. It’s a larger SUV, so there’s enough room to cuddle comfortably with the air conditioning on. It’s obviously not as comfortable as a bed, but it works, and I feel it’s safer than going to a hotel or meeting at either person’s home.

  • I've been thinking about this, and the movies seem like a good idea, the park on a bench or a picnic blanket. It probably wouldn't be as close as it gets in private but it would still involve holding each other. Most of the specifics would have to be discussed with each other, but the first meeting is mostly a vibe check to make sure you're okay with each other in person. The public cuddling though is different from a public meet.

I’ve only done one public session, but it was with someone I’ve done in person sessions with prior. We just hang out around the town and cuddle at some lounges, etc. It was nice but I didn’t know about Dayuse at the time. Otherwise I probably would have done that so I could host (neither of us could have at that time).

Still haven’t done a Disney World trip but that’s on the bucket list.

I’ve always wondered about this myself! I assume a public meet for a “vibe check” is completely different than a public cuddle because there’s no touching involved (beyond a hug anyway). I think it would be incredibly awkward and I’d worry about people staring. I’m used to being gossiped about, but being watched or stared at still makes me too nervous to relax and would be the polar opposite of comfortable.

  • I think its more like having someone to keep you company while out like walking the mall or company for a movie or dinner. Or relaxing at a park. (Almost like having a date or out with a spouse. With out the commitment and with the rules of platonic cuddling.

  • I had public cuddles once, but it was spontaneous and on a date (no one I met here, of course).

We were walking around a music festival and caught a neat outdoor sitting area that looked really comfy and snuggled up, watching people walk by.

For the Public option on this site, it's probably anything goes, like a public park or whatever.

But generally speaking I much prefer the intimacy of walls for cuddles, as @great_pillow08 mentioned, I also don't like being stared at by others while sharing a cuddle with someone.

  • I have cuddled at a movie theater on more than one occasion. I bring a blanket. I would be open to meeting for tea if that makes you more comfortable.

  • That's fun and fine weather permitting. Have had at Westgate and local skatepark. We make st chill by a shady tree or cup of coffee at da e and busters or catch a matinee

@weswstson no certainly not in AZ. RO I. Invited me to go up to her campsite in June I think. No way. not going there in June

  • I have had some nice public cuddles in hotel lobbies. Some of the nicer hotels have really nice sectional couches and fireplaces and seating areas that are not in full public view. If there is a bar I just make sure to order something like a Coke or coffee, and then just stick to appropriate positions. Leaning in, arms around shoulders, hand holding, crisscrossed legs, some scalp/beard/face touching etc. I’ve had some really enjoyable public cuddles.

I used to have a mini van and set it up to cuddle by the lake but alas she has gone on to van heaven. I have not done the Blanket in the park cuddles but would like that very much!

  • I’ve done a public cuddle in a movie theater.

  • I have had a cuddle session in a park on a lovely sunny day, It was awesome! But I obviously didn't drink enough and ended up with a migraine from hell. 🤦

  • well my ex gf and I used to cuddle on the beach. We had a picnic basket snacks blankets and pillows. The waves in the distance the salty air was very relaxing. So yes fan of public cuddles

  • I always wanted to do this, but never got the chance :(

  • There's a park near me that has an outline of great shade trees that Ive cuddles with some friends of mine at. I have an old comforter and pillows that I'll use for public cuddles. In cooler months bring a light blanket to snuggle under. Listen to music, bring light snacks, chessboard... Ive cuddled at the each under the stars. Drive to an Oceanside cliff back into the spot and cuddle in back of SUV or truck with the hatchback door open. Make a soft pallet with pillows and blankets in the car.

  • @MeltMyWay that all sounds so lovely! I've done the truck bed thing, went to a drive-in and we just chilled and cuddled in the back during the movie. But the rest sounds like something I definitely need to try out.

  • Funny enough I’ll be public cuddling tomorrow.

  • @JustAGuy215 I miss drive in theaters ... I haven't been to one since I was really young. Might have to see if Los Angles has any

  • With a few of my cuddlers we meet at a park and lay a blanket on the grass and then cuddle on it.

  • I take fellow cuddlers to the movie theater for public cuddling to beat the heat

  • Public cuddling is so fun. These places are local to me, but you can Google them to get an idea of what it looks like.

They are not really built for the summer but just do what feels natural. You can get coffee , go see a movie etc.... if weather allows you can bring blankets and pillows to the local park and settle under a shady tree to have a reasonable cuddle session. There's no strict rules other than what The TOS on here says. Best of luck

  • I one time cuddled in public at a park on a blanket in the grass. I definitely felt a bit odd and like people driving or walking by might be staring. Another time was in the back row in the corner of a movie theater and they brought a blanket to cuddle under. I typically would not pay for these types of experiences and would usually only consider it for an enthusiast.
I much rather would prefer in either case for it to be in a private setting unless it's like some sort of cuddle event where everyone there is cuddling and it's not just two people there.

  • I was cuddling with someone outside recently as part of a session, and one of us made the point that most of the people driving by likely have never seen a man receiving tender nurturing care like that.

We were sitting up. I don't know if I would do laying down cuddles in public with just one person but with two or more, absolutely!

I once envisioned a cuddling flash mob (have not organized that as yet)

if I ever host anything for my friends I have to have a mat or something or they will just cuddle all over the hard ground/floor.
