I went to a Cuddle Workshop at a Festival in the UK ...

Festival is call Buddhafield, it is near Taunton in Somerset, UK.

The Cuddle Workshop at the festival, I was fine. A lot of other people were not and got overwhelmed and sat out.

I was big spoon for 5 other people. It was so grounding. Was outside my comfort zone but so nice.

My primary job is in IT.

Found I could do energy work a few years ago, didn't know what it was, worked it out (thanks Reddit) and got attuned to most modalities.

For me, cuddling a man at the festival, helped me feel more grounded in energy work business as I get 50/50 male and female bookings and due to family trauma is tough, so was touch deprived as a child and told not to hug male friends ... now more open to it.

I am not soliciting for connections, just sharing the mask that I have managed to let go of.

  • Thank you for sharing. I've noticed that some people are starting to realize how needed platonic touch is.

I was talking to a man last week and when I hugged him, he burst into tears. Good on you for being that grounding presence.

I participated in a group touch exercise with 4 people I didn't know. It was remarkably freeing and fun.

  • Is it new fest

  • Interesting, thanks for sharing, never knew it existed. I certainly could have used this! Bit far for me though.

  • This is wonderful to hear. Especially about the healing energy work as well. Platonic touch is definitely needed nowadays. More than ever it seems.

  • @trysdet - it has been going for 30 years :)

  • @MomInShaMan at a different festival in May, someone asked me a few things, and just said, "Hey do you want a cuddle". It was very nice for a minute or so, rather overwhelming so some kind of soul connection. A few red flags 🤪 with this person, I am sure they meant well. Perhaps the hug was just what he needed - well done you!

  • @TheDave90 - it's a multi-day festival, and well worth the trip. I travelled from Portsmouth and it was fine, was my third time.

Guaranteed hugs/cuddles with most people that you may meet. It's 100% vegan.

  • @Bear It is so important for sure. I might incorporate additional platonic touch into my energy work. I generally do, "Hands On" anyway, a client earlier in the month actually asked for touch, which as per my website I do anyway. As it was their first appointment I wanted to see if they would respect boundaries, I will gently ask next time if they have specific places they wish to be touched, I am okay for all platonic touch apart from 'downstairs'.

  • @Steeeeevee ive done some platonic touch healing work. It happened spontaneously.

  • @Bear we are all energy workers. I got attuned to Reiki to calm things down!

A friend re-lit my spirituality without touch 🤣

  • I have three more festivals planned, and might organise a cuddle puddle or two ... I've already written the guidelines.
