🚐 Transportation

We can coordinate transportation together(optional). If anyone has a van or larger vehicle and would like to help with carpooling, those joining can pitch in for gas.

⛺🧭 Camping Gear

If you have extra camping equipment, like flashlights or other essentials, please let us know. Some people may be flying in and won’t be able to bring much gear, so we’ll make sure we have everything covered.

And yes, if I’ve ever blocked you, you’re still welcome to come. I don’t hold grudges, and honestly, I’ve probably forgotten why I blocked you by now. 😁

This is a casual community gathering where everyone’s comfort and boundaries are respected. No expectations, just a chance to meet like-minded people, enjoy the outdoors, and create connections in a beautiful setting. 🫂💖

  • Both parks are great, but Enchanted Rock is easier and much closer to a variety of other attractions.

  • @TxTom There is a cheap campground nearby with a lake, but I can’t remember the name. Should we camp at Enchanted Rock or stay at a nearby campground?

  • @BellaAine Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg is an option. Lake LBJ and Lake Buchanan are nice, but a bit of a drive.

  • @TxTom Those are good options!!!! 💖🤗

I just started thinking about the people who would prefer cabins. I know not everyone enjoys a good tent setup like I do.

  • I think I’ve blocked half of Texas, lol, so I’m hoping only 8–15 people show up. I want a more intimate setting where everyone has a chance to connect and no one gets left behind. 🫂💖🫂

  • There are 49 other continental states to pull from though, you can only block so many 😂

  • @pmvines Hey, I was a Girl Scout, so I’m sure I can find a way to knock a few more states off the list and earn myself a patch or something. 😝

  • Almost every option is available in the Fredericksburg area: hotel, bed & breakfast, RV parks, tents... even glamping!

Enough options for your entire Block list.

  • @TxTom lmao 🤣 yay, you are awesome!

    Pee-wee's Playhouse 🥹 My childhood 🤗 💖

  • I'm going to agree that Enchanted Rock would make for a good central location and if people did not want to camp there, it would still be a good location for those not camping to gather during the day. Instead of another patch, how about a SWAP instead @BellaAine?

  • @geoeagle You mean people have lives and don't want to stay stargazing with me? ☹️ Impossible. Grab the trash bags, and I'll get their right leg.

Deal! Does it come with a pin, too? 💚

  • Enchanted Rick area, for the same reason others have already posted.

  • @Pasquia I definitely agree. It's looking like Enchanted Rock is the favorite so far. We may as well just settle on that and start planning around it. 😊

  • What city in Texas

  • @kaysmooth319
    16710 Ranch Rd 965, Fredericksburg, TX 78624

  • @BellaAine not that they don't want to stargaze, but not everyone has the desire or ability to sleep in a traditional camping tent in February but may still want to socialize in the outdoor setting.

Does it come with a pin? Great idea!

  • I don't know either of those parks, but I love this idea! I'd be driving myself, I don't have room for others unfortunately 😅

  • Omgggg I’d be down!

  • @TreasureHunted Glad you're joining us! Even if you had the room, I wouldn't expect you to carpool. Most people probably won't. I just added it as an option for those who enjoy the road trip adventure.

    @geoeagle you are correct.

  • @Limited_Bri Love it! Thanks for jumping in. I think we're putting together a great little group.

  • I could drive there in about 19 hrs. I love to camp

  • @safensecure4u2 Wow,19 hours! Now I'm even more pumped to go. That's just the motivation I needed! I'm glad you're joining us.

  • Interested:)

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle Aww, I’d love for you to join us! 💖

  • Enchanted Rock sounds like a great idea. Just hope our crazy Texas weather cooperates.

@TXFrank I’m from Houston, so I’m used to the bipolar weather. I’ve actually camped through a rainstorm with high winds before, so I know to stay prepared. Extra tarps help lol. Hopefully we get lucky, but either way we’ll be ready!

  • February is usually one of the drier months in the Texas Hill Country, with cooler and more comfortable temperatures for hiking and camping. It’s also a great time of year because we won’t have to deal with the intense summer heat, humidity, and the higher number of bugs that come with warmer months.
