Are honorific or body-centric usernames grounds for reporting?

This is mostly a question for Mods I think but I'm curious what people's takes are.

A perhaps odd amusement of mine is to glance at local users once a week and see the scambots that pop up. Personally to me certain self-aggrandizing honorific names and body-centric names both tend to pushing more on the non-platonic side.

Are these grounds for report?

Do you think they should be?

    I report anyone with kink-related usernames, and almost without fail, they are forced to change their username...but also remain active users.

    While terms like "curvy" and "fit" seem inappropriate and often conceited, I don't report them.

    We typically don't like usernames that are in the slightest bit sexual in nature, are vulgar or those that draw attention to body parts. We also don't like names that display knowledge of the kink, fetish or BDSM lifestyles. I'd say all of your examples except gymbro were reportable.

    There are plenty of self aggrandizing names and things like PrettyLady or HandsomeGuy that may be evidence of someone who thinks very highly of themselves, but those aren't nonplatonic.

    @Jubal to my knowledge your idea would be acceptable. It's clearly intended to be kind of on the silly side versus "Always call me Sir" which is what I meant by self-aggrandizing.

    @SunsetSnuggles the term Curvy is why I listed two examples. Personally to me the "CurvyLady4u" would be instant report. Not based on Curvy alone but the addition of the "4u" at the end is rather indicative. So I included the ask about the other one because it omitted that portion.

    Trying really hard here to get the lay of the land. Update myself for what's appropriate for today.

    @Jubal, absolutely - go for it! I like the name. If I must confess - me changing to my current username was quite the mental challenge - only because I couldn’t fathom using a name which brought any sort of positive attention to myself. Growing up, that was key to survival - stay small and don’t command attention, or risk become the target of jealousy and ridicule. It was a huge deal when I changed my username from a vanilla username to my current one.

    That's an important distinction, totally agree!

    There are also a lot of sugar baby and sugar daddy-coded names that get an instant report from me.

    Apart from being more likely to be a douche canoe I don't see anything inherently wrong with it. If it's sexually suggestive in nature I would report it. But if it's something like smart and fit, or goddess of the universe, or handsome dude bro, I usually give an eye roll and keep it moving.

    @SunsetSnuggles I was afraid of even saying "Sugaring" or anything adjacent here in the forums. Nice to see someone use the terminology directly. I try to tread lightly and respect boundaries everywhere I am.

    For BBW, it can be a porn search term, or a body type descriptor. I take @AL3XGage_06's approach above, and pair things like that with other cues to determine if it's reportable or not.

    If someone has "Sir" in their name, are we talking LeatherSir or SirLancelot? Big difference. 😅

    If someone has BBW, do they have a wish list link and point every picture down their cleavage, or come across totally platonic and just body positive?

    There is nuance to some. Others are super obvious red flags.

    Goddess is almost always a report for me, because it's often accompanied with sugar baby language. If it comes with crystal/witchy vibes, I chalk it up to a more spiritual connotation.

    I do not know whatever is up with the wolf one, but unless it’s really explicit I’d say ignore the names and check everything else, photos, descriptions etc. curvy, bbw, fit are all just body descriptors. Maybe some people like to cuddle a particular body type? 🤷‍♀️ I don’t see anything inherently wrong with that if they’re behaving themselves.

    I hope mines ok? It does refer to my body type, but only in reference to cuddling, and my name by itself was already taken.

    I do agree anything sexual or something like "hotguy" would be inappropriate.

    @MattCuddleBear I think “hot guy” is far more self aggrandizing and dumb than it is actually inappropriate. They can think highly of themselves and still be here for just cuddles.

    Wait I can change my name? Happy day! After seeing so many clever names here, I've been a tad embarrassed by my boring one based on my regular name.

    Also while I agree w/ much of what has been said in this thread I also think some of you need to take a chill pill & just let the mods do their jobs w/out your interference. Some of you are coming across like mall cops thinking their on par w/ the FBI or something. You're not omniscient & don't have the foggiest idea what most people's actual intent behind their name choice is. In reality many names are fairly mild or coincidental.

    Of course the truly blatant names should be busted, but the more mild ones should just be corrected w/ some friendly advice and they don't deserve being hit over the head w/ a sledge hammer.

    Don't you want to help grow this community. If a persons very first experience is being beat up for poor judgement then we are not going to grow this community. I think a lot of new people aren't thinking & just making some bad name choices. Give them time to figure things out & if you want to be helpful message them & let them know that they have the ability to change their name & perhaps they should consider doing that.

    I think some of what has been said is just people who are bored & their spewing out stuff just to hear themselves talk. Those who intolerantly jump straight to the extreme deserve the same treatment they are dishing out. I apologize if I've offended, but if you have been offended then perhaps ask yourself why & get over it.

    @BlueIris, I don't see why "Curvy" should be considered reportable as part of a username, since that's one of the "Body Type" options in the profile.

    The mods rely on the community to report, they do not actively seek out TOS violators. So someone named PoundYouAllNight could be here five years and the mods may never know...unless someone reports it.

    The directive from the site owner and mods has always been, "When in doubt, report". The mods dole out the "friendly advice" or "sledge hammer"; anyone reporting has zero power over action taken.

    A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, or however that goes. I'm learning to appreciate the nuance of names. The profile name of the folks that have reached out to me & later got banned, weren't clever or suggestive. shrugs shoulders

    I love the clever names I see.
