Serious question: Have you ever had someone specifically tell you they want silence, peace, and time to relax… only to spend the entire session talking about work, drama, bills, and everything else going wrong? 🤭
How do you politely tell someone to stop talking and actually relax without saying “shut up”?
In the past I've resorted to a spoonful of Nutella, a mouthful of whipped cream and a strategically timed gummy worm. 😂 Those bought me just enough time to say, “Forget about work, forget about the drama, and forget about everything else. You’re here now. Just relax.”
What’s your polite but effective way of telling a chatty client it’s time to shut their brain off? 🤔🤔
