This is a topic that's been on my mind for a while now, especially since I got"volunteered" to help plan my class reunion for next year. Truth be told I can't narrow it down to just one. 1st.Sgt Ron Sommer my ROTC instructor in high school, Force Recon Marine, Vietnam vet. Coach Kingsbury, another Vietnam vet. Coach Engler, also our vice principal. 82nd Airborne and the definition of old school Army and tough love.. Believe it or not they were different in so many ways but in some ways they were exactly the same. They believed in accountability, hard work, and more importantly they believed in their students. All of them saw something in you that you didn't see in yourself. So they pushed you, they encouraged you until you finally became who they knew you could be. You just didn't see it at the time. And now I look back at the lessons I learned I know it's made me a better man today.. So, who were the teachers and coaches from back then who to this day still has a positive impact in your life?
