How do you navigate the Forum? (I'm overwhelmed)

I'm noticing that I both like to read forum threads and am overwhelmed with the volume and style of organization. While I know I can only read to the extent it's enjoyable for me (so no need to tell me that), my push-pull feeling led me to wonder: _How do you read and navigate it? Other than favoriting threads, how do you keep up with what you want? How do you even begin to dig into a thread that has hundreds to thousands of posts? _

In the absence of some good ideas -- but I bet you have some! -- I'll just catch whatever random falling leaves I do. It's fine. (But, wait, maybe the next screen has something really good ... ARGH!) 😂😂😂

    Thank you for saying something, I feel the SAME way! I love the forum here. There is lots of community and connection that can happen.....but I have no idea how to save something that is good to reference later. Also when I make a comment, I dont necessarily know that someone has replied back to me in the comment threads unless I go back into that one again and see what anyone else may have said. Plus, I only notice any threads made that pop up on the main homepage. They can quickly disappear from being listed there after a day or two. Argh.

    @JessAZ There's a star to the right of each post title. If you click on that, the post will be saved to your bookmarks so you can look them up later. Also, if you scroll up to the very top of the post thread, there's also a star inside the post on the right. It does the same thing if you click on it.

    You only know if someone replies to you if they tag you. You can go to your profile and under Settings there's a tab called Notifications. You can choose to be emailed for various things. At the bottom of the list is Forum Notifications. Click on that and you can choose to be notified for a variety of things.

    @BlueIris Thank you for the suggestions. Bookmarking forum threads I am interested in is helpful. I read somewhere else on here (and forgot where!) that there is a way we can see a list of all of a particular users posts... could you repost that for us? Or off a link to it? (It's nice when I hear a voice on here that resonates for me to be able to easily ccess what else they've written.)
    Also - 2 suggestion/request/questions -
    (1) Someplace on the website/app we can access a list of posts we've been tagged in?
    (2) A Forum Chat Directory alphabetized by topic or thread title? (There are over 10k threads now, some with amazing info, are there any tools to access what we might want to read right now?)

    There are certain threads that if they’re real long, I will only read the present dates. All they go back to win a particular, newer topic or post came to them.

    There are times that I will check in every day and there are times I might not be here a couple of days to a week.

    It also depends on the subject of the post.

    Since I’ve been here a long time, I don’t go back into the history that much. Unless I really want to look into something in particular.

    There are some threats that are rehashed sometimes that will irritate me on a personal level so I just don’t look at them.

    @JojoGriff if you use the forum search bar to search for your username, you'll see all the comments you've been tagged in.

    Example: https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/search?Search=@jojogriff

    And the first question is in the Forum extended FAQs as follows:

    Is there a way to find all posts from a user?
    The following method is unsupported, so might change without warning. Remember that a user's comments are just a snapshot and may be easy to misinterpret out of context, and might not represent them accurately as a person.

    Add a user name after the following URL to see that person's posts:
    https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/profile/comments/
    For example: https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/profile/comments/respectful

    To go beyond the first page, add "?page=p2" etc. to the end:
