Flying Someone Out for a Cuddling Session?

I have had a few professional cuddlers who live in a state different from my own message me about cuddling. I would travel, but I am a full time student and planning for a trip is difficult. I have also never left my state. Recently, I noticed accounts that mentions being willing to travel to a different state as long as the flight is covered and hotel is arranged. How does that work? What goes into planning it? Has anyone flown someone out to them?

    This is a common scam if offered to you. The ones who have on their bio they're willing to travel to a different state if all expenses are paid are hoping that it isn't. With all the available cuddlers in every state, it makes no sense that someone would pay possibly a thousand dollars or more for travel and lodging, plus several hundreds more for cuddling fees, when they could pay a local provider a fraction of that.

    The old saying still holds: if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

    Depends on your cuddler. Personally, travel arrangements are paid up front and nonrefunable for me. I prefer book my own arrangements and be paid. I'll happily send receipts. Hotel I do no care if I arrange or the client is hosting. But again that can be negotiable depending on if cuddler is only seeing you or has cuddle sessions with other clients.

    @BlueIris said it best. Even if it’s not a scam it seems absurd to spend THAT much money to fly someone out and pay all those travel expenses!

    Having said that I’ve reached out to a number of out of area / state cuddlers whose profiles resonated with me and have asked them to let me know if they are ever in my area - and it has definitely worked and yielded some amazing cuddle experiences here and there.

    Also, I live in L.A. so it is a pretty big travel hub for visitors.

    I had a longtime cuddle buddy once and when he moved, every now and then he’d fly me out. We actually became really good friends. If it was someone random I did not know, I would not do it. Too much of a safety concern.

    Blue Iris did sum it up best. Honestly as a student, I couldn't of afforded a cuddle session, yet alone travel expenses. If you want an out of state cuddler, lots of pros have travel dates. Since they usually host, it's usually standard fees plus a hosting fee.

    @BlueIris I wouldn't pay a complete stranger. It would have to be someone I have cuddled before or someone who seems trustworthy. I think it's good to meet new people.

    I think this arrangement does happen. But it does sound too good to be true, as it's highly risky on both sides. From the enthusiast’s point of view, paying thousands of dollars upfront (hotel + flight + cuddle hours) is not something 99% of us would consider. From the pro’s point of view, if the money is not paid up front, she would not travel to a new location with her own money just for the chance the reimbursement never shows up and she’s down thousands of dollars.

    Such an arrangement may work out only IF there was some sort of locked box payout system where a trusted third party holds the funds until the services were completed, and only if YOU KNOW each other beforehand.

    @npcbum BTW I just took a quick peek at your profile. Very well done; you expressed yourself quite well. And I see why you are extra cautious so good on you for reaching out to the community for some group thought.

    I also did a search on Orlando cuddlers and there seems to be an abundance of choices in your area so you shouldn’t have any problems. Plus you have some nice karmas as well. Good cuddles to you my friend…..

    From a pro/enthusiast perspective, a client/potential cuddle partner suggesting before we've ever met to fly me out or otherwise go to extreme measures is a HUGE red flag. Not only is it a common scam from pros - it's a massive trafficking risk, especially for younger women.

    I would not ever accept such extreme measures to get me out of my safety zone and away from my support systems. If someone happens to be out in my area, fantastic. If it's someone I've known a long time and trust, I might travel out to them of my own volition and out of my own pocket. But a stranger offering to fly me out sets off warning bells, as does someone offering to travel a long way just to meet with me? At best, it comes off as creepily desperate and obsessive.

    Scam! If you want to hire a someone for cuddles, then hire someone local who does other things and just say, cuddle only.

    If you are a student, then maybe talk to your student support team for assistance.

    As a student, there will be plenty of cuddle friends available - I do get it if you are not there yet to engage socially.

    Or book as massage, or find a local school who teach massage and sign up with them - should be cheap, at least half the normal price.

    If you have social anxiety, there are so many things you can look up in your library or Amazon: HSP, Empath - see if it resonates. Plenty of online resources too.

    I have been offered this and I have always refused. I never know the cuddlers that ask me to do this so it's scary. They obviously want more than a platonic cuddle!

    I don’t really mention my travel minimums on my profile. I set my own travel schedule based on what’s going on in my life. Every once in a while if I’ve met someone in person on a prior trip or meet and greet I’ll let them know if they are willing to book a minimum number of hours with me (4 or 5 over a couple of days span) I will plan a trip to their region. I always book my own flights/accommodations in my name. And plan to see other friends, concerts, or clients while in the area. I don’t do deposits unless the client insists as a good faith gesture. If someone is offering an exorbitant fee for something and we’ve never met I’d call it a red flag…either they will be banned soon, turn into a ghost, or have unrealistic/ non-platonic expectations.

    It sounds like a very risky maneuver. The only thing I’ve come across is somebody who may be coming locally and might try to find customers or clients. They only charge their regular rate and they don’t request mileage in such upfront.

    To pay somebody to have them come out to you, including flying and hotel in accommodations and everything seems kind of obsessive.

    Also I would immediately wonder about the expectations from a client who would pay $1000+ for a cuddle experience with one particular pro when there might be many others close by.
    It makes me think that there’s an expectation of way more than platonic cuddling and probably other types of “professional” services.
    I would also wonder if that client is being a little obsessive? Just seems risky and questionable to me.

    I can’t imagine clients flying out pro cuddlers. Sounds incredibly stupid to me given the expenses involved. Do people really have this kind of recreational money? Even if they had they must have lost their sanity to do something like this. Or do I sense foul play? It’s most likely the latter.

    Definitely be cautious. I’ve only heard of one time when this was legit. A man I cuddled with a few times told me that he would fly a pro cuddler he met on the east coast to his east coast travel destinations. I had a booking request once where the client wanted to fly me to Las Vegas for a six hour cuddle. He sent me the flight information and wanted my ID to book it. I told him I would handle the flight booking or drive to Las Vegas (II’m in LA) and we could work out the travel fees. I was not comfortable giving him my ID. He refused. Major red flag. He would only move forward if I gave him my ID and agreed to let him handle the flight. I don’t know what this scam was and I chose to not find out. Hard pass.

    Everyone cautioning its scams and be careful etc is absolutely valid.
    HOWEVER, where I live, I meet ppl from out of state all the time. MOST have above the means to accommodate this idea.
    This is absolutely a comfort level topic and ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST. Obviously.
    I wouldn’t just agree to fly to some random location and meet someone for the first time but for one of my regulars who I know very well, yes, of course!
    Sometimes you develop amazing friendship relationships and trust is there.

    I had a client, from a different platform years ago, fly me out to him once. I had cuddled with him a couple times prior, when he came to Florida where I was living at the time and I had friends nearby his area that I stayed with. I had another regular client from this area ask to fly me out to go to a conference with them out of state, but it didn't work with my schedule.

    I have also had several ask whom I have never met before and I declined. And where most likely scams.

    I’ve actually been flown out for a cuddling session before, with everything covered from A to Z. With that said, I did rigorous due diligence and research before agreeing to anything. Safety was my biggest priority. I was also given the freedom to choose my flight on my terms and where I stayed and didn’t have to disclose the location until the session was about to begin.

    It worked out well in my experience, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend accepting every offer just because someone is willing to cover the expenses. There has to be proper screening, clear boundaries, and enough control over the arrangements that you feel comfortable. It’s not for everyone, and ultimately you have to use your own judgment.

    I only fly to cuddle my regular clients, who are not available to come see me for long periods of time. It's rare, but it happens when you spend quality time to build rapport and trust. I become part of their self-care routine!

    @Kaybloom I absolutely agree, just because it works out well for you and I doesn't mean it's safe for everyone. It's paramount to do your due diligence, use discernment and prioritize safety in any new/unfamiliar situations. Investing in self-care isn't a luxury, it's maintenance for your well being. Some people get massages, facials, mini staycations and now cuddle sessions.

    Scenarios like this intrigue me and as a student of people in general, I often wonder what makes them do the things they do. I definitely agree that this is a safety issue and a red flag for the reasons already mentioned. However, I can see the need that would make something like this make sense. Let's say I have to take a business trip to an area, and I would like to have somebody greet me when I land and we can have a cuddle session. That would be a reasonable request since the client would be flying to the provider. But if you flip the script because you want to be the person waiting for somebody to get off the plane, that could be tricky, but it could be done as long as both people were on the same page. But as a general rule, it would be best to stick with local providers and if traveling, set up a session for your destination, but never put up any money unless you are 100% sure that you know who you are dealing with.
