I am discouraged.

I wasn't planning on making a public cuddle request, but I feel like I have no other options.  I have messaged several women who claim that they love to cuddle; that they crave cuddling.  Every single one of them have rejected my request; not by responding yes or no, but by simply ignoring me.  I know this because I can see who has visited my profile.  Obviously, this is a "no".  And it's an easy "no" from their end.  But I can say with sincerity that it hurts even more to be rejected in this manner.

I don't bring this up to call anybody out, or to stir the pot.  I understand.  I say this only as a way of bringing awareness.  I try to understand others and I hope that they understand me.  I am not angry, but I wish it wouldn't hurt but it does.  It makes me very sad.  I am a sincere person, and I am courteous and respectful. I am not a macho man and am not afraid to be honest about my emotions.

So this brings me to the point at hand.  I am a very lonely man and I crave human touch.  And it simply hurts to read profiles of women who crave touch and have a desire to help others, only to be rejected by them. So my request is simple and sincere.  I live in Houston and I desire to cuddle with a kind and compassionate woman.  If there is anybody close enough to me who is sincerely interested in helping others heal, I would be ever so grateful and respectful.  Thank you for listening.  Please feel free to message me.

  • I understand your hurt for I have experienced the same thing. I live in Louisville, Ky and was told that at 60 I was too old to cuddle.
  • I'm really sorry to hear that, brother.  Just know that you're not alone.  And I'm only 42.
  • I'm adrift in the same boat at 31. Even begging my Bible study friends for any kind of touch -- handshakes, pats on the back, hugs, a squeeze of my arm, whatever -- has not gotten me any kind of human contact. Now I'm looking for new friends.
  • I feel for you, man.  There are many of us.

    Bittersweet thread.

Bitter because of all the pain and hurt but sweet because you're able to express it.  As painful as it is I think it's always better to let it out.

It's definitely tough beans to send out a good-natured, well thought out email and get nothing in return.  But I imagine it could be any number of things or combination of things: Race, build, age, hairstyle, facial hair, clothing, height...etc.  Truly could be any number of things.  Not to mention fake profiles and looky-loos who are just curious.

I don't take it personal because there are emails I haven't returned either.  On the flip side women(especially ones with a full profile and pix) are getting hammered by multiple emails daily if not hourly.  It doesn't help the pain of rejection but there seem to be more and more people joining here daily.

Chin up and good luck to everyone (myself included!) ! ^_^

  • Very good point.  Thanks for the input.  Good luck to you too.

That's not an excuse because there are the same amount of guys as girls here, so them having spammed messages is not an excuse.... (at least in la)

I would totally cuddle you, and would even let you bring Brandon! If you are searching a professional, they should be responding to you regardless...
