What I Have Seen Being A Nomadic Cuddler

edited March 2019 in General

I have been traveling the US for only two and a half months. It has been an eye opening adventure... but it is dreary out there for everyone.

What a shock it's been. People are in poverty, homelessness is borderline everywhere, cities are crumbling, roads are destroyed, health is declining, relationships are strained, suicide and drug overdoses are rampant.

This is not the country I expected to see. Like... it makes me weep.

Why do all the right actions and choice rely on money? Why does the value of a person rely on how much money they make? Why do people not see what's happening all around them? Are we just too busy scrambling to make ends meet with the jobs that pay shit just to barely survive? Why is being a humanist so wrong?

People I know can't even afford to go to the doctor or dentist... and then they keep taking stronger and stronger stuff to numb the pain. Then it escalates to addiction and sometimes even death. These are stories I'm hearing left and right. Its heartbreaking.

People I know personally are staying in relationships that are abusive because they can't afford to leave them. Or others have had partners or friends deported.

Poverty is the root of all evil. We have been driving the car into the ground and not stopping for repairs... we are to a point we need to buy a new car because it's now beyond repair. We need to scrap everything we think we know works for society and start looking for a new solution because our humanity is falling apart as we know it.

We need to face the reality that our money system is broken. We have stopped valuing each other as equal. We have our friends and neighbors weeping behind closed doors or on the street because they cannot earn enough money the way society says we should. Automation is a gift of freedom only if we reward personal growth and adding value to each others lives. We need to love first. Let's stop this heinous talk about needing to work for money and start working for humanity. We need to get together and rebuild our communities, reward the creative arts, fix our roads and our mental and physical health.

Did you know stress over money lowers your IQ? Look it up. Just thinking about not having money for a bill makes it drop significantly because you're expending brain power on solving that problem instead of doing something you love to do.

I was given the gift of time. It was only $500 per month... but I was able to leave a job I hated that treated everyone horribly. That money helped me leave unhealthy relationships and friendships. I was able to move out of a crappy living situation. That money gave me clarity of thought that was able to give me the time I needed to find authentic happiness. I am traveling the US. I have launched my art career. I have websites I learned to build. I can do the thing I love to do, bring value to people's lives who are suffering by cuddling. I have freedom.

If you have never looked into the Freedom Dividend, do it. You can't afford not to.

What will YOU do with $1,000 a month more, unattached to any requirements outside of age? What would that feel like? Would it feel like you could finally breathe? Could finally get the things you long for? Hell, get a cuddler to come to you for once because you finally can afford to?

I know if I had that money, I would figure out my mental health, I'd get my teeth worked on, I would eat healthier, I could give to organizations that could really change this world we live in... I could eventually buy the RV I want because it would be better than traveling out of only my car.

We could fix the roads. We could fix the businesses that are closing up. We could leave the abusers. We could find authentic happiness. We could start meeting our needs. We HAVE to start somewhere, and we HAVE to start now.

  • And here is another irrelevant thread about to be closed. Politics has nothing to do with cuddling no matter how much you dress it up.

  • Poverty is everywhere. The poor kids when I was growing up were the ones where both parents worked. Now both parents work in most families. The middle class has become the working poor. It should break your heart.

This has everything to do with cuddling. This is about connection, opening to another human being and seeing their truth and beauty. This is one person to another, across a sea of land and people. This is real.

There is a closed of people that is hoarding resources and not contributing to the common good of the nation. With common sense reforms, with the wealthy paying a fair share of taxes, we have more than enough to do all of it. But we are divided more surely than any medieval monarchy, more than the feudal country that we fought to gain independence from over 250 years ago with hereditary lords and vassals. We will stay divided until we can connect, with authentic person to person interactions and affection. We will have poverty until we can come together as we seek to do here.

This, all of this, is exactly why we're here.

Tisdoney why dont you stop charging hourly rates for cuddling? Charging $80 per hour is noninclusive. You are forcing those in poverty to choose between paying for food or a cuddle.
Just because you are struggling to find a way to support a nomadic lifestyle doesnt make society or government responsible for compensating you with free money.
You want a new RV then get a job and buy one. Takes time and effort but you can get there. You'll never rralize your dreams or true potential if you wait around for someone to give it to you.
Want true freedom and a clear head? Earn it. Get in the game. Work, compete. You'll find a great sense of satisfaction and freedom in being self-sufficient.
There are no shortcuts in this life. Sooner you realize that the better.
Most people work, save, raise productive children then in their later years or returement live the dream.
.a nomadic life, seeing the country by RV.
You chose to do it your way. You put the old cart before the horse here and are finding you cant get something for nothing. Dont try and make me and the rest of society responsibe for subsidizing your life choices.

  • I accept I'll be criticized for the ironic nature of my situation. I understand that my character may be questioned. Truth is, I live out of a car and tent, going to new cities to see the shape of our country has been depressing.

Cuddling allows me the opportunity to not go more broke while I work on my books and website. It breaks my heart the amount of depression I see. It breaks my heart the low income of society. The town's here in America. If you saw what I did... I think you'd understand better.

There is a thing about paying for something. According to psychology (please investigate for yourself if you don't believe me) When you pay for a service it means it has more value placed on it by you. You respect the agreement the more you pay out of fear. Maybe related to the sunk cost fallacy? Idk.

The sanctity of cuddling is easily bypassed when you are giving it for free. I have met a fair amount of cuddler enthusiasts who say they have sex thru this site and they feel okay that they did and justify it was okay because they didn't pay for it. The agreement just "evolved" that way.

I cuddle because I expect that my clients understand the value that my service has to offer. I am a friend, I am a confidante, I am touch therapy. People may value the advice more of the therapist they pay money to more than the friend that said the exact same thing.

Asking for money is painful for me because I see the pain, the struggle, the heartache. I don't want sex and charging seems to be the key to better self control for a lot of people. I'm not innocent here either tho.

On the previous cuddle site I was on, I did cross lines I shouldn't have with clients. One guy even tried grooming me for prostitution. Others sexually assaulted me. Yet I ended up dating a client once we ended our professional relationship. That's the reality of what's happening on this site too tho, like all the time. No one talks about it... unless they feel safe to, that they won't be punished for saying it. I've had many many people tell me their boundaries have been violated, enthusiasts and pros alike.

I think the reality of it tho is, we are all desperate for comfort right now because times are really really tough for us all. Society is now living in a scarcity mindset because of poverty being so rampant. Its detrimental really.

This whole work or be left for dead is literally happening. All because of why? Greed. We need to just accept the help we need with no strings attached or more people are going to struggle and yes, die.

I've seen this happen with my own eyes. Please ask how some people you know are doing and listen to them. I bet you money that if they are honest with you and not speaking with pride, they would tell you just how much they are struggling.

I need the money so I can eat. The money I used to pay towards rent is still being spent, but in actual communities. Communities that are closing their doors, because there are no customers and because no one is getting paid enough to even buy anything.

With financial stability people's IQs could return from being inhibited by financial stress. People could free up mental space and actually go for their goals and be entrepreneurs. They could breathe first so they can strive second.

Its things like ending homelessness by just giving the homeless somewhere to live. Then we could address their mental health. None of us are better than them just because you may have acquired some money by enslaving yourself to a job you might not actually enjoy. When your basic needs are met, growth can happen. Society can grow.

I am working hard on books, websites and my art but it's much harder to be successful if you are the only one investing in your dream. No one else can afford to help you succeed unless they are a big business, but they are usually interested in personal gain and hoarding of wealth.

I've employed friends to help me with work to help me with my lofty goals. I am investing in their stability and in mine. I can't do that without earning money... and my skillset is loving people. That should be celebrated not demonized.

    This video explains how we have thinking that is so backwards and unconstructive;

Seems you have all the answers, what do you have to show for it?

  • edited March 2019

What do I have to show for it? For being nomadic? I have freedom from the soul draining 9-5, I have pulled out of depression and honestly experienced a emotional cleansing I didn't think possible, I have had time to breathe, time to explore, I've made real human connections, I've been able to volunteer to make communities come together, I have time to learn what I need to and time to start my business.

I'm still a mess but I'm finally breaking the chains of my scarcity mindset so that I even have a chance. My happiness level was a 3 of 10 a few years ago, I would say I'm now a 9 of 10 and no money or possessions could replace that.

I think everyone deserves to be happy. I think we can experience post traumatic growth together if only by being given the gift of time.
