I'm not a huge fan of the messaging system on cuddle comfort. Getting an email notification every time I get a message on this website really clutters my inbox, and I find it a bit inconvenient that I can't read/respond to messages unless I go back on cuddle comfort. There's a lot of jumping back and forth from email to cuddle comfort, and imo it's kind of a slow and inefficient way to have a conversation. Because of this, I find myself often switching to some other means of messaging.
I know that it is recommended to keep conversations on the site bc it is easier to report inappropriate behavior vs the whole process of using screenshots to report people. I've been on the website for 2-3yrs but recently became a professional cuddler and have read some horror stories about stalkers and sexual harassment. I am definitely no longer comfortable with sharing my phone number, and I try to respond as quickly as I can when I get an email notification, but slow and inefficient communication could mean losing a potential client. Since I am new and still in the process of building a clientele, I'm not sure if I have the luxury to be able to afford losing potential clients.
I think it would be really great, and safer alternative, if cuddle comfort could make their own messaging app (like how fb has a messaging app) or at least tweak their messaging system so that it's a bit more efficient. I know that if it was as quick and convenient to communicate on this site as it is texting/messaging on sites like fb, or apps like whatsapp, then I, and possibly other cuddlers would not be as tempted to take conversations off the site.
As of now, I can only work with what I have. Would you suggest continuing to keep conversations only on cuddle comfort, or do you think it's okay to switch to messaging off the site? I find that especially for messaging someone when if I'm omw or lost on the road etc, going about it through cuddlecomfort quite slow and not as reliable as texting. Since phone numbers are a bad idea, what apps would be better? I have kik and while it is more anonymous, I find that there is a weird sexual connotation to the app bc a lot of people use it for sexting (idk if it's just me). Whatapp and fb are also out of the question if the concern is privacy. I had a person suggest line but I'm not sure how popular the app is and if asking someone to download a new messaging app is more inconvenient than just continuing to use cuddlecomfort.
