Rejection of Requests.....

Analyzing why people choose other people to cuddle is a cagey proposition at best. Numbers are numbers sure, but in the end it depends on the individual person. I reach out to maybe 2 or 3 people when I go to an area. Mine is done by gut feeling/first impression and I have been very successful with it as I always find someone and 90+% of the time we click and the experience is fantastic. I cannot quantify my gut feeling other than in my job I have to sum up people on the spot everyday except for the ones I have known for years. In addition, some are pros and some are non-pros so I cannot quantify the difference there either.

I guess what I am saying is I hate observations and studies that are based on dichotomies only—men vs women, pros vs non-pros, etc—-because they inherently limit the outcome by narrowing the parameters. People are not made that way—I am more than just a male non-pro and everyone else should feel the same way about themselves.

Finally, bringing all this back around to the topic of the thread—because we are all so different in spite of a Tinder survey someone mentioned which is irrelevant here—people are rejected everyday for who knows what reason and some people just have a habit of voicing their opinion on everything without knowing it—kind of like a friend who feels compelled to say aloud if they like or hate each song that comes on the radio as if they are the final arbiter of what is good musically.

  • Sort of related I guess, I haven’t been on the site long though, so maybe this isn’t a big deal.

Anyway, I received a message from a pro, they didn’t solicit their services or anything, just asked if I’ve had any good cuddles yet. I responded, that I hadn’t yet, and then followed up with a couple compliments before politely letting them know I wasn’t at the stage in which I’d want to spend money just yet, and that I didn’t want to waste any of their valuable time.

I haven’t received a response back, and I’m wondering if something I said could’ve possibly offended them?

Is this common, or is there some community faux pas that I unwittingly commited ?

Just trying to keep things friendly here, and I tend to worry for a while when I think I may have wronged someone.

  • @Cognomen It could very well be that this pro was just trying to conversate rather than drum up business. Maybe they were offended that you jumped to the conclusion that they were soliciting. Neither of you is really in the wrong; perceptions sometimes don't line up and that's life. I think it's fairly obvious when someone is just trying to hunt for clients, and when somebody actually wants to engage with the community.

Either way, the fact that she didn't respond isn't your beef to fry. People stop responding for a variety of reasons and the above I mentioned is just one. It often says more about them than it does you. Personally I think it was just a misunderstanding.

  • Thanks For the response @Catloaf , I guess maybe in the future I should take a bit more time to read the situation. She could’ve just been reaching out to be friendly.

But as you said, I’ll try not to get too caught up in it. I’m just trying to make sure there’s not something I’m doing wrong and yet oblivious too it.

    Thanks again.

  • Well it does make sense for a non-pro to be attracted to someone they are going to cuddle with

As chococuddles said, this is not a dating site... there is only 2 reasons I wouldn't want to cuddle or hug with someone on this site would be 1) bad breath. 2) Body oder

  • To all: The idea of this post/thread was not to make it as though a woman or man doesn't have a right to reject a request. My point was that there are ways to do it without making it as though you are a pariah. We all have our personal tastes in who we want to cuddle with. Nothing wrong with that. We should just be respectful of what other people might feel when being rejected, and allow them to find somebody else.

  • @Lev136 Oh pish-tosh Lev. Everyone knows niceties and tactfulness are what our AI and Crispr overlords are for. They have already gene spliced a totally tactful and sweet male. My personality is going out of business as well as the piss and vinegar industries.

  • @Bakersburg Those are big reasons though, lol :)

  • spot on @Bakersburg . Why not anyway? I'm entitled to my choice of cuddle partner just as much as any woman. But yea, youre right @Lev136 politeness and tact go a long way but unfortunately those words aren't taught in school anymore.
