Since when is it appropriate to block a person for saying hello, and introducing oneself? Thats what happened to me.Its not a big deal, but it bugs me , considering reaching out is kinda the point of all this
I understand but maybe the person thought they knew you or you knew them. Maybe they didn’t like your color or maybe they were just on here playing games. All have happened to me but you just gotta move on. Unfortunately there are a lot of gamers and kids no matter what age.
Agreed
Sometimes if you are not what is listed in their preferences, you will get blocked. For example, if they are interested in a certain age range, gender, body type, etc. Or if you say something on the forum that rubs them the wrong way, etc. I have been blocked. Its the interweb, gonna happen from time to time. Try to not read too much into it is all i can really give for advice.
Agreed. With both @pmvines and @Timdabrewer
I seem to be getting blocked left and right lately by the very same middle aged men that couldn't get enough of my "private thoughts" just weeks or days earlier.
I don't let it bother me though other than this minor rant. Here's the thing, this site is exactly for purposes of reaching out and saying hello. Privately.
The blocking feature on this site is useless anyway. But yes there are kids on here of every age. I just ran across a 60 year old one, he threw a tantrum on my mail page then blocked me. He's a professional also, not a professional cuddler but one who often goes on about how professional he is in real life on these very forums..every where on these forums.
Just don't let it bother you. So far every one who's blocked me hasn't been a viable cuddle partner for me anyway so no loss on my part. Now if the people blocking me were local and possible cuddle partners I'd be a bit more worried about it. But probably not really; I'm the only active woman here in ND, so I have to basically advertise for cuddlers off site. I agree with other posters here, a block is just a way to narrow down the one's that are willing to cuddle you! It's an automatic filter so you don't have to keep putting out messages to that person and wonder if they will or won't respond.
One thing I think we have in common Tim is that we live in the middle of the country where people just aren't as accepting to the concept of platonic touch as they are on the coasts. So I for one do feel it a bit more if a local blocks me but I also allow more opportunities to get it right because of that. Like one man if Fargo I see occasionally, we are having a few boundary issues but we both recognize there isn't much to choose from so we give ourselves a cooling off period and try again. As long as the other person is willing just keep trying.
Oh and believe it or not hogboblin and I are within cuddling distance -- thanks for not blocking me HB!
Keep trying! The one cuddle you get will be worth it as long as you're both willing to learn the right way to do it!
I get blocked often by men who visit my profile and then, when I return the favor...VOILA' ! I always wonder why but move on. Nothing you can really do about it. Occasionaly a female pro or enthusiast, but that is more rare.
Getting blocked? Not getting emails returned?
Welcome, brother.
You have been initiated.
REJOICE!
Yep, join the club.
Yay,Ive been initiated, lol Thanks for the comments
@Timdabrewer I have just come to find I am apparently blocked by several guys here whom I have not conversed with nor specifically directed anything towards on the forums. And the only reason I know is because I went to send them a message re a topic of interest, and low and behold, said I was blocked. Apart from genuine confusion over what I may have done to irk them, it is not something to really take personally or be upset over. So just remember it is the internet and not real life. I am sure you are a lovely person, however online life does allow for a healthy amount of emotional distance from reality. Like when you are in a car. You may curse under your breath, honk your horn, and flip off a stranger. But meet the person at a social event and you may end up the best of friends.
Dear PMV @pmvines I can't speak for any other people who may have blocked you. I did - I am now pretty sure unfairly - because I thought you might be part if a bit of "beat-up" gang, Forum-wise. I have now Unblocked you.
And I would like to take this opportunity to uneqivocally apologise to you for doing this.
And I am grateful that you were not equally childish by blocking me back. Thanks.
Oh its fine lol i wasnt block shaming. Just wanted the OP to know it happens to all of us from time to time. No apology needed. Hell i may have come off that way to you so if i did i apologize to you !
@HappinessHenry You block people on a suspicion yet you think it is childish if they block you back. Perhaps they blocked you back because they thought your block was infantile.
Dear FC @FunCartel Yes I believe they did. And I believe they were absolutely right. And then I went and did the same to them. For the same reasons. And so it goes on.
It could be for whatever reasons. Personally, I get people who probably didn't read my profile properly. So, they are out of my age range. Or they live so far away, etc. So, if that or anything like that may be the case for you, it’s possible it’d tick someone off who strictly wants to connect with someone that meets their preferred criteria.
Personally, I have my preferences. Though, most times I don’t mind just chatting with others outside of it, either. So long as they are respectful, and can be understanding.
There are worst kinds of blocks. A blockage in the large intestines makes you full of...well, you know. This is just a website and it is the internet.
And to continue the metaphor. Too much blockage of the intestines can lead to cancer.
Thanks PMV@pmvines
Not any more. We are all good.
OMG, this becoming mini health class now?
lol. Yes, there are worse blockages.
Really gotta shake off most of these incompatibilities. If they act that way for whatever reason, they are not right for you anyway. Though, a general good rule to follow is if you'll message do it for the sake of messaging the person. Don't focus much on getting a response. If you do cool, if not, pay little to no attention and carry on with others, and other things.
I'd say, it's worse to be blocked by someone you've known each other for a decent amount of time. Who distance you for reasons you may not have an idea of. Or wish they could talk with you about it. So, you two could try to reach some kind of a peace. As you also worry if they are okay. I think that's worse. Than some random strangers blocking.
It happens, and happened to me like a handful of times. I had to learn to pick myself back up, dust off, and keep going. Those who care will make the effort, those who don't they are not worth your constant care, and whatever.
Though, even those I know I couldn't/ don't want to connect with for whatever reason. I do respond to them stating that as kindly as possible. That is, if they sent me a reasonable, and respectful message.
@HappinessHenry Cool beano! I know i can be a little argumentative at times but i would to think even those i butt heads with can still have a mutual respect for one another. You seem like good people for better or worse, and i appreciate your presence on the site.
Peeping in because the last few posts between you two is giving me a small dose of warm fuzzies:
This is why I appreciate @pmvines. He's a lover not a fighter, a pragmatist (my favourite kind of thinker) and at the same time he is very respectful and diplomatic in his discourse without being condescending. @HappinessHenry You sir are a ray of wonderful wordy sunshine, I love your posts, and I'm glad you decided to become part of the community. You guys are both awesome possoms.
As for @Timdabrewer there's nothing that hasn't been said here already, but I'll chime in and say it's best you try to see it for what it is: somebody who has some sort of issue going on within themselves, and you needn't waste your time and energy on trying to figure out what that is or why it happened. Just happens sometimes, and given time you'll find someone who interacts more maturely.

@pmvines +1 ”mutual respect for one another. ”
Hey PMV @pmvines Cheers for the above ("Cool beano etc"). This is actually now my second best Karma review!
