@RaindropSweetie Meth?? Oh wow! How did you handle that?
@FunCartel Well, I'd driven an hour into the middle of nowhere late at night with only this guy around for miles..... Knowing how meth users can go very wrong and turn on you when upset, I did the sensible thing. Ha ha. I'm actually curious about how you think I handled it?
@RaindropSweetie Well you strike me as very smart, so I imagine you made up a good excuse and politely texted him then turned around because your life is not worth losing over a few dollars. Yes, I would cuddle a heroin addict before a meth addict any day because of the hair trigger mood swings.
@DarrenWalker I think the fear was women with armpit hair not armpit hair in general. Because women of course should pretend they don't naturally grow hair from anywhere but the top of their head, and around their eyes 😀
We texted earlier in the day, and he definitely was not high then. I actually did not know he was high on meth until we were in his house, face to face, and I could see the whites of his eyes were more red than white. Then, I smelled the strong chemical smell and saw how jittery he was. We were in a kitchen, and the doors to leave were past the knives. I thought for a moment about whether I could make it to the car and/or the nearest populated area before he could catch me. The answer was no. So, I went to plan B. If you speak very calmly and move very slowly around meth users, their hearts slow down considerably. I calmed him down, put him to bed (away from the sharp, stabby things), tucked him in, and when he started lightly dozing, snorting, snuffling, and snoring I left. I would have needed a plan C if he was in the tweaking stages.
Personal attacks are not tolerated here. I would assume that includes attacks on our commander in chief, no? Especially when this is supposed to be a thread on a specific topic. Let's not use every thread as a chance to hop on a soap box and share political views. We get to speak with our vote.
@Fairbutfirm It was not a personal attack on anyone specifically as it was an explanation as to why I choose to not cuddle a certain group after someone else questioned why someone would do that. I hope this clears this up for you, even though I do not really need to explain myself.
@2cute2cuddle I appreciate your sympathy, but that was a hypothetical story that luckily hasn’t happened yet. I’ve already been blocked by someone above, which is probably a blessing in disguise. Definitely don’t need this fear coming to fruition. Sure it sounds silly to some, but in the words of the band Metallica “Sad, but true.”
I didn't see any personal attacks against the president... I only saw them participating in the thread and voicing what their worst case scenario is. They are allowed to feel that way.
@Miabear Thanks for your reply. Although, I’m surprised that you’d even give a warning to someone who crossed the line. Hopefully, you don’t run into that situation often. In my opinion, you’d have to show aggravation in your voice or they’ll try to take advantage again. Either way, it sucks.
One man's fear is another man's turn-on. That would drive me crazy in the opposite direction.
@RaindropSweetie So did he say anything later about you leaving? Was it a paid cuddle? I bet your EMT knowledge came in handy in that situation.
@RaindropSweetie I respect your opinion, but I do believe there were political agenda attacks in that post which were unnecessary to participate in this discussion. Saying that a worst fear would be that the person being cuddled with had things around the house showing their support for a politician who the writer/other cuddler does not support would be sufficient to get the point across. Going out of the way to put the word leader in quotes, mentioning that the president is against gays (as are many Christian people by the way, not because they just flipped a coin, but because what they believe is their gospel tells them that), was crossing the line from the topic on hand to giving your political views. Surely there are tons of forums on the internet for that????? So if that isn't a personal attack I do not know what is. Sorry
@RaindropSweetie I'd be afraid of being the one with stinky gas. lol But seriously, one of my worst fears is that the person I'm cuddling with has rats or mice, not of the pet variety. I'd be out of there in a hot second.
@FunCartel He was more sad than anything when he sobered up the next day. He wasn't happy to hear that I would not come back for another scheduled appointment the next night, but he did decide to pay for my time. EMT knowledge did help. We've had to transport people on bad trips to the hospital. Keeping them calm in a moving vehicle is important, so one of us talks them down calmly the whole way while another watches breathing, pulse, and BP to ensure that calming them down is working. Nothing worse than someone high jumping out of the back of an ambulance on a busy road....
@RaindropSweetie Well you handled it like a champ! Still, a very scary predicament to find yourself in.
Before any cuddling starts I have very serious conversation about any health issues or abuse that they might flashback during cuddling .I take it very serious about what the other person could go through ..Had a cuddler go through night sweats and rapid heart rate and since rather be proactive in dealing with any issues should arise.
@Bossman27703 that's actually a very good idea!
Politics and religion. They make for heated topics, especially when they come hand in hand.
