If you want to understand a society, take a good look at the drugs it uses. And what can this tell you about American culture? Well, look at the drugs we use. Except for pharmaceutical poison, there are essentially only two drugs that Western civilization tolerates: Caffeine from Monday to Friday to energize you enough to make you a productive member of society, and alcohol from Friday to Monday to keep you too stupid to figure out the prison that you are living in.

I'm glad mushrooms are against the law, because I took them one time, and you know what happened to me? I laid in a field of green grass for four hours going, "My God! I love everything." Yeah, now if that isn't a hazard to our country … how are we gonna justify arms dealing when we realize that we're all one?
Some of these are so funny.
This is a real life quote from a conversation.
Friend was telling me how things are going in her job. She's queer, has a rather dramatic appearance, she's partially disabled. She's also really, really good at what she does. She's in a large company that seems to value diversity (in the truest sense of the word) and creativity. She's making a good name for herself. At a point she said to me, "I'm making a place at the table for women, for queers, for the disabled . . . And I'm making a place at the table for weirdos."
I loved that. That's my friends, making a place at the table for weirdos. ;-)
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Let your mind alone, and see what happens. -- Virgil Thompson
Sometimes giving a thoughtful ear, a caring thought or just a heart full of care is all that matters especially when you do it all the time. Even when it gets slammed back in your face under the mask of felt insult, you can rest in the good conscience that you are being you all the way: real, kind and happy! @Bles
The best gift I can truly give myself today is self honesty and self compassion. It is the best medicine for the judgment of rejection and the insult of silence. No one and nothing can comfort me without that. @Bles

It's not the connection you make that counts as much as how little or Much insight and understanding you take away from the experience around the connection.@ bles

Man #1 "Shoot him!" Man #2 "Cut out his tongue!" Man #3 "Shoot him AND cut out his tongue, and then shoot his tongue!" (just rewatched this so fresh in my mind LOL)
@MissAdventurous - regarding your post picturing the old lady shelling peas. That's not what we call 'Snapchat', that's what we call passing on wisdom to the younger generation. And unlike most kids today, those in the picture look like they are listening with rapt attention.
@UKGuy coming from being a little girl who did this with her own grandmother, I do agree. I thought the play on words however, was cute in a modern way. 😊
