@baseball87 Ok. If you say so ๐ I guess myself and my colleagues doing this full-time are an anomaly or imaginary ๐คท
I have experienced lots of cuddles as well and the quality varies greatly. There is definitely skill and technique involved to make someone great at this work.
In addition, my sessions are about more than just "cuddling." It's about connection, compassion, listening, acceptance, really hearing the person, providing a safe space, etc. There are so many facets to it. It's not just lying next to someone touching platonically.
@ubergigglefritz I have experiences all those things when I cuddled.
Do you get an IRS from from cuddlecomfort every year? I don't think you do. It's a hobby, not a profession.
I submit my income for taxes just like any other business owner. But goodnight. I don't need to argue with someone about how I earn money to pay my bills. ๐
*But I'm glad you experienced all those things while cuddling. You are lucky. I have heard endless bad stories both with professionals and enthusiasts. None of those things are a given in the least...
@ubergigglefritz You didn't answer my question. Nobody in the history of IRS reporting has reported income without receiving an IRS form at the end of the year.
Also, you are not a business owner. You don't own anything. I know how self employment taxes work. I can make a bet you don't report anything.
@baseball87
From the professional FAQ:
Professionals are responsible for filing themselves as independent contractors, as it pertains to the law where they live. Cuddle Comfort is not responsible for sending out 1099s.
You clearly don't have any clue how taxes work. For any job the company reports your income to the IRS and taxes are taken out of your paycheck.
The IRS has no clue how much you are making. You really think people here are voluntarily giving money to the IRS? Don't think so!
Have fun further derailing a thread into yet another wonderful generalisation: that all pros are evading taxes. Goodnight.
We are not employed. That doesn't mean we aren't working. No one who is self employed receives a W-2.
I report my income every year. You are right. Lots of people dont. But don't claim to know what I do better than I ๐
People lie on their taxes all the time. It's nothing new. The IRS would never know you are making money on here. You really think people are going to voluntarily give money to the IRS?
I'm weird. I'm honest. Have always reported everything honestly every year of my adult life. Goodnight ๐
@ubergigglefritz Ok! To be self-employed you pay about 25-30% in taxes, but I am sure you know that already. Take care!
But it's not like anybody would ever say they don't report something without can an IRS form. haha
"I am sure you know that already." Yes. My first year in business I reported a loss though, because lots of initial expenses. But I am aware of the self-employment tax. Anyway, you do you, I do me. I won't claim to know anything about you and your actions or authenticity, so please offer me the same respect. Logging off this thread in respect to this subject. Thanks ๐
You reported a loss from being a pro cuddler? Ok. LOL
