    I can agree!! Thatโ€™s one way to look at it!

  • @Kabocha thank you ๐Ÿ’—

    It's important to learn compartmentalization to grow.

  • Compartmentalization is a subconscious psychological defense mechanism used to avoid cognitive dissonance, or the mental discomfort and anxiety caused by a person's having conflicting values, cognitions, emotions, beliefs, etc. within themselves.

    @MissAdventurous

    Are you sure about your compartmentalization comment or are you hoping to turn a negative into a positive?

    FYI, I agree with the three statements in the first post screen shot

    @Groucho: Pretty sure @MissAdventurous was using the common "divide into sections or categories" meaning, not the (slightly less common) psychological meaning. Yepโ€”learning not to clump together things that can and do exist separately is a useful life skill!

  • Thatโ€™s a good description and it should be referenced a lot in these forum discussions.

  • @Darren asking because she majored in Psychology. as did I.

  • Ding ding ding we got a winner with @DarrenWalker ๐Ÿ’—

  • That's for sure. :)

    @Groucho: I'm big into psychology too, but when presented with a word that has two meanings I try to pick the meaning that makes most sense in context, instead of defaulting to the one I'm most familiar with. It's not always the right move, but a lot of the time it is.

    @MissAdventurous: Yay! What do I win?

  • ๐Ÿ’ฏ important to remember indeed ๐Ÿ˜‰
