Newbies

This goes out to all the newbies. I've noticed that many new members only sign on for a few days and then disappear. If you are new but about to give up on this site, please take a moment and express what you see as the obstacles.

  • Part of coming into a community is learning how to (potentially) build it up. The challenges you face will, yes, be challenging, but the interaction along the way will be a learning experience and make for a better community in the long run.

I'm curious: what will the conversation be when the tools and reciprocation is all there? There will certainly be Cat Pics/Videos, for sure, but I'm uncertain with everything else in the now. :P
  • Curious vision there. Facecuddle.com, lol.
  • All the proper functionality of Facebook, minus selling out the submitted data of users to advertisers, and hugs are delivered through your computer device. That last thing will only be available once the Virtual Reality tech is complete. :P
  • I think that I will cuddle my Samsung Pad tonight.
  • And to finish off my silliness, here's a classic Rhett & Link tune called Facebook Song. :D

But really, think I should stop right there before this derails more and go back on point. Which is that new folk should take a chance on CC. Gods, now I have have ABBA on my mind... :P

Its only been 3 days for me and I haven't received any messages. I was wondering do I wait for people to ask me for cuddling or do I ask other people?
  • Start asking
  • Line from Facebook Song coming to mind: I used to meet girls hangin out at the mall, now I just wait for them to write on my wall. ;) Yes, please do start asking. Or better yet, just have a conversation about a thing or two. Things will roll into place naturally after that. In theory.

@docgatorb  I am not ready to give up on the site just yet, but i would wager that some people are: a) merely curious about the idea of platonic cuddling, b) realizing that they are more interested in finding someone to date than just cuddle with, in which case they are better off elsewhere and it's no fault of CC, or c) unsure if platonic cuddling would actually be a benefit to them or something that they're comfortable with. I'm at C right now, but waiting to try it before relinquishing the idea.

I was actually searching for pro cuddlers when I happened upon this site. My main objective is cuddling on my terms, without anyone getting ideas about a continuing relationship and getting feelings hurt. I have my doubts if anyone can actually handle something like that unless they are a professional and see me only as a paying customer. But I'm certainly open to the possibility. :)
  • I found this site after searching for professional cuddlers when I found this site as well. These are good points and I have been told by others that they didn't feel comfortable with the dating feel of this site. It does seem to me that people give up ion the site pretty quickly, so maybe it's more of the b) reason.
  • hello i'm new here hugs for you all.
  • Having just made an account, there aren't many people near my zip, and of the handful, most have been inactive for months or haven't filled out a profile.
