Mine is pineapple on pizza. That is a deadly sin that can't be forgiven.
Ants on a log 🙅🏽♀️
Chocolate and crickets. My sister tried it at a festival. On a tv show there was a restaurant in the United States that specializes in dishes with various bugs🤮 If I am not starving and stranded in the middle of nowhere I’m not doing that.
Condiments on a hot dog . Prefer mine plain or maybe with a slice of cheese
Ketchup also doesn't belong on French fries. It belongs in the trash.
Pineapple on pizza is delicious. In fact, many juicy sweet fruits make fantastic pairings with many cheeses. I have my grandmother to thank for introducing me to this trifecta: Romano cheese, Italian bread and watermelon. A bite of each and OMG
@AceCuddlerMike I would never disrespect a man's grandmother. but bleh!
Anchovies and broccoli on pizza! I don't mind pineapple on pizza. Sweet and salty combo. @Mike403 Ketchup doesn't belong in the trash! I would marry it if I could!! JK LOL
@pmvines I can think of at least 5 ppl who have tried that in front of me and who were all as confused as I probably was, and all said "wow". But yeah, salty and sweet always works, and the soft inside of a fresh loaf of Italian (or a fat french baguette) seems to be great with the juicy melon. Sometimes I get big seedless grapes if watermelon is not in season but because the skins can be a little bitter the melon is far superior.
Licking whipped cream from my belly button. Unsure why others like it, but for me... Let me see if I can describe this in words.
Olives and/or any sort of water dweller on pizza!
See @DonLonG's post for the perfect visual to go with my feelings about this...
100% HLEEAAHHHurkurkBLLEAAHH!!!
@DonLonG You'd also need a very long tongue, or a huge BMI. 😊
I'm OK with most combinations of things that I would eat individually ; the end of the month with only dregs in the fridge, is a good time to try new combinations, or things alone which are normally accompanied.
The survivalist Ray Mears is famous for eating almost anything, but even he draws the line at slugs.
@quixotic_life - Olives are disgusting by themselves. I feel like I'm eating an eyeball.
@Mike403 Agreed that eyeballs are bad. I couldn't eat a fish with the head still on ; I don't like to be watched while I'm eating, particularly not by the thing I'm eating.
I don't mind eating meat off bones ; but I'd probably struggle with "bushmeat" such as primates, too much like eating a cousin.
I'm with @Mike403 on the pineapple and ketchup items. Mustard - ugh. I also can't stand my pancakes soggy so I dunk pieces instead of pouring syrup on them. Also peanut sauce - ugh.
@littermate - I was being a little experimental when I bought my new Vitamix blender. I cut the crown off of a pineapple and completely liquified it.
I’m not sure I like what pappion was having in solitary. Roach, centipede, and ant, muddled together
Orange and chocolate, either alone is OK but not together.
@geoff1000 - mmmm... chocolatey orange.
Soy sauce paired with anything. The stuff has quite an effect on me. Imagine someone unknowingly drinking gutter water, and then being immediately punched in the throat and stomach while they gag and choke—that is how I react to the taste of soy sauce. So, when I see someone add a ton of it to whatever they're eating I'm shocked, repulsed, and am then left in awe of their obvious power.
Not food combination but smoking and eating I can’t see how some folks can do that
@cuddlerforu24 - Smoking is disgusting....period.
Balsamic vinegar and ice cream... ITS A THING, look it up! 🤮
Haha, no thanks. It is good on avocado, however.
@Mike403 was that psychodrama? Or were you making a drink with it. That's funny. I'm allergic to it so not only do I not like it on pizza, I keep away from it in all ways. So good though, fresh pineapple juice. Alas.
@littermate - It's a $400 blender that has the power to liquify just about anything you throw at it, so I was experimenting when I first got it and was throwing random crap in there. I did use avocados in some of my drinks. I didn't bother pulling the skin off or even removing the pit. I just threw the entire thing in there.
One of my coworkers developed a pineapple allergy later in life which was a real bummer for her because she used to love pineapples.
@littermate - Also, it makes the best peanut butter with only one ingredient. Peanuts.
I've heard of those. Wow on the avocado! Sounds like a fun toy.
It might be a west coast thing but a shake that you dip your French fries 🍟 in
My grandfather tells the story of eating a bowl of rice which had been sprinkled with black pepper, making it look like a pile of maggots.
Eating fries and battered fish with cold water to drink, was a bad idea ; because it allowed the grease to congeal.
@geoff1000 Did you just call them fries so Americans here would know what you meant? Turn in your passport
