How to propose to a friend of becoming cuddle buddies?

I'm new to this idea too, just came up with this term, googled and found this website. Unfortunately, no one seems to be on here in my area. I have a friend in mind that I'd like to ask if he'd be willing to try out this new concept, but I don't know how to put it... Any advice?
We met on Tinder and he's leaving for another country soon, so it seems like a nice thing to do -- we both enjoy hanging out with each other (at least I feel), and there's no point of developing a serious long-term relationship with him since he's leaving. I actually would love to cuddle with him if possible. :-)

I think you should link to the How It Works page regardless of your approach to avoid confusion and to show it's not some concept you made up just for him. If it was me, I'd probably send a text something along these lines:

    "Was looking at this: http://www.cuddlecomfort.com/how-it-works
But turns out no one is close enough to me. Would you be up for something like that?"

In my opinion that link might work a bit better for something like that (and maybe in general) if the line "You’re not particularly attracted to them" were changed or re-worded.

I know what it's trying to mean, but especially in this case, it's like the first line in there, and it might come across the wrong way if you're sending the link to someone.
  • Yeah I second apeirogon, that line "You're not particularly attracted to them" seems a little off-putting and I think I'm actually kind of attracted to him.
Don't know what to do :(
  • I tend to believe in the straight forward approach. Simply tell him that you would like to know how it would feel to be hugged by him. Qualify this by adding that you aren't looking for anything more. Keep the dialogue open at all times.

Good point guys - it certainly is off-putting in this situation. I've now re-worded the text which is an improvement but I'm open to suggestions.
  • Hmmm, using this site as an icebreaker. Interesting
  • I dig it. :D As one who deals with the anxiety of talking out the need of cuddling with others, this network has helped a lot in clearing my Feels on the matter. Also, helpful How-It-Works is helpful. Excuse me while I share that with the world... :P
  • Maybe "not romantically attracted"
  • whew! I just asked and he said yes. So relieved now.
we'll do it for the first time on Monday night. Hopefully it'll work out fine. I'll keep you guys updated!
  • Victory! :D And what's great about one victory? It makes seeking out and getting more victories easier! And should things not work out, that's okay too! Because learning experiences!

This is my bizarre way of saying I'm happy for you and I hope things go well. That I could JUST say that. :P

@Emsings Considering the reason you created this thread in the first place, I think many of us would be interested to know how you asked? :)
