@Mark: I don't know about anyone else, but I have a habit of always logging out of everything because I don't like the idea of a site showing me as online when, for all practical purposes, I'm not. Plus I'm easily distracted by new messages and stuff like that, so cutting myself off seems like a good idea if I wanna get anything done offline. Which sometimes I do.

  • Interesting :+1:

  • The upcoming feature of push notifications is music to my ears!

  • THANKYOU! THANKYOU! THANKYOU! For the Dark Theme! LOVE IT!!!

  • The changes and updates are great. Thank you, @Mark , for the constant improvements.

    @sethryan44 I hope you're on Android 😬

  • @Mark Luckily I am! 😁😉

  • 😅

  • Question about the new format.

We used to have the DELETE option for messages which is now changed (to the bottom 3 dots by the send button) but unfortunately when a member has been banned (or deleted their account and we can't send messages anymore) I can't figure out how to delete the message thread. :/ Has anyone found that yet?

  • The Delete Conversation button on mobile is in the message under the 3-dot menu.

However, I don't see the option on desktop anywhere.

@mark. ..... you say “ I would have thought that you’d typically be the only user of your device “

My / our devices are business issued , we have probably 60 iPhones plus spares. I use for business and personal combined . Yes I also log out of everything . Frequently I loan to a coworker ... to “ lemme use you phone to call my wife mines charging” . I’m sure that someone somewhere in the same situation , borrows a phone from someone they both have CC accounts so a borrower logs into his CC account using the lenders phone ( which has deposited some cookie or piece of cake on the CC server )info does an alarm go off somewhere internally at CC indicating a member with two profiles . ?

Another interesting use case that doesn't fall into the 'typical' category. :+1:

Our moderator detection systems have probably become 10x more advanced over the last year but I wouldn't want to give details. I would just say that we are quite effective at identifying whether your scenario is suspicious or innocent.

  • I’m thinking an occurrence... user creates profile on their personal desktop at home not connected by any wiring or attanae to a coworkers device then borrows device to log in to CC unbeknownst to borrower ... loan-ER has existing account , I would think that badabing two users are banned .
    Thank you

Most phones have a "guest" mode of sorts, so you can quickly toggle it into guest mode and authorize access to only certain apps, etc. That would also give you seperate profiles for cc, so you would be logged out if you switched to guest mode.

In most typical circumstances, you stay logged in on your personal phone for everything and have it protected behind a fingerprint scanner, pin, or maybe not at all because unintended use is not really a concern. Either way you can still log out in the settings area, it's just not as prominent in the UI and takes a few extra taps on mobile.

Incognito browser tab also sounds like a good alternative to manually logging out on each visit.

  • @Mark thank you so much!!!! Again..... Amazing on so many levels. :)

@Mark @davebutton or anyone else who has more computer skills and savvy than I do..... Thanks for the new platform changes and the mobile stuff etc.

It seems like we can only deactivate from the desktop (under the account settings) but not from the mobile site? Is that a thing or just my imagination?

I'm also REALLY thankful for the ability to "MUTE" for longer periods or until further notice. Extremely convenient from my point of view. :)

  • @sillysassy ~ On mine, I can get to it by clicking on the little arrow under my mini user pic (top right corner), selecting settings, and that takes me to a menu that includes the link to "mute" and other stuffs.

Is that what you were looking for?

  • I think the Deactivate link disappears while a booking active. So might be that...

  • Thanks @quixotic_life it lets a user delete and mute their account but not deactivate. :)

@Mark I'm not sure how that would apply in this situation..... neither of us are pros when we were looking at our profile on our phones..... so no "active booking" would be happening. (ALSO random question if we all came over the ocean to hug your neck for being so amazing when would be the best season??? I think I'm going to plan a cuddly party plane ride that ends in a THANK YOU for supporting this community 😊)

This is fixed now. Turns out that this was actually a widespread bug so thanks for letting me know @sillysassy !

  • Absolutely @Mark I always figure I'm just missing something. Glad to be part of the solution INSTEAD of part of the problem. Thanks again! 😊
