@Mike403 I did reread my first thread again and you did say "enough!" at one particular low point, but in my POV it came across as "both (maybe all) of you shut up" rather than directly telling @AceCuddlerMike he should stop abusing. I read more of your comments elsewhere and you're clearly not a bad guy. You did do a really thoughtless thing to me though, and that's why i noted it on a thread singing your praises. You did apologize for your comment, so i forgive you if that's what you wanted. @quixotic_life thanks again for your comments esp. re: the sexist moderation practices. My working theory is that men are mostly paying the moderators (i assume they get paid, if not someone please please correct me). And the "unhinged loon" remark....no! You expressed yourself so well! If you were a little bit angry, if I am , if others are..consider that every advancement in history for our gender (sorry for those not on the binary) from getting the vote to deciding what to do with our own bodies to being able to get an education to not be able to be raped by husbands...that all happened because of angry women who acted. (steps off soapbox) Vote!
@Designergirl - I was just stressed out by all the toxicity being bounced around on here. I wasn't directing any hate towards you. I'm not trying to make up excuses, but it's hard for me to think about what I say and how others will perceive it. I was formally diagnosed with autism/Asperger's Syndrome in 2013.
@Mike403, I'm not trying to add to your stress. I had a boyfriend with autism /Asperger's and he was a fun guy who couldn't lie. Did you happen the catch The Night Clerk on netflix? I get its especially challenging in interpersonal communications for people on various spectrums. But if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have known, so at least IMO you are "passing". Only CC member to get his own awesomeness thread! How can you not be proud of that?
