  • Beats me.  I haven't had any luck finding women who want to cuddle for free.
Only the pros post in these threads incase you didn't notice.

I'm interested but without a set date and time I can't even RSVP myself.  Could be an issue with others as well.  I fully understand it won't be for a few months and money is an issue so no worries.  I'm sure it'll come together.

@I_am_Polylover I know you don't want to name names and that's fine but are you able to disclose a tentative head count of men and women?

  • @Choco you should make a video, instead of gangster party, call it cuddle party
  • [Deleted User]chococuddles (deleted user)
The video would have to be of all the female cuddlers.  No one wants to see my pink-shirt wearing tush shakie it on cam. ...or DO they...?

Anyways I signed up for Cuddle Party LA and it seems they have a tough time getting women to attend.  Their set-up sounds great with a good foundation of rules but, for instance, the May 6th event has one person RSVP'd so far and that's the event organizer.  I'm not saying this to put him or Cuddle Party LA down in any way.  I'm actually looking forward to attending a few.   I'm just stating that it's a tough uphill battle for others as well.

Very much looking forward to hearing how FireandBlue's event goes this weekend.

Bust out the money and make it rain! This show ain't free!!!

    (monopoly money will suffice)
  • Shake your money maker
  • @chococuddles  I had already posted that at one point there were 6 men and three women, but for now it is at best 5 and 2.
    ♥Jim
  • I think the only way to get females there is to pay them.

I have 500 in monopoly money to see @chococuddles and his money maker

If the only women attending are pros then it kinda doesn't work.
The reason I say that is that then the only point of them coming is to network with future clients....and find new customers for their future cuddling.
But a cuddling party of people who find cuddling mutually beneficial is way more useful because then you can meet prospective cuddling partners that way, or at least get some much needed cuddling in....

So I suggest future cuddling parties try to limit it to non professionals unless you just want it to be a try before you buy kind of deal...which I don't think is the same as those group events you mentioned at other sites

  • Wouldn't it be in pros benefit to go to cuddle parties for the purpose of meeting potential new clients?
  • But then it's just a promotional event for pros and not a cuddling party that other groups have.
    It can't be both.
Either it's a pro event or not.   It seems they were saying it's not it I realized if the only women attending are pros then it is really a big advertisement.    The women who aren't pros will be swamped with guys wanting to meet them afterwards because it's free.   You can't mix pros with non pros at the same event.
Why are people not seeing the difference between pro cuddling and non pro cuddling.

I hear ya @greenearth. However the last LA party had a mix of pro and non-pro girls signed up but when the event actually happened everyone dropped out except two pros.

In the hotel group cuddle environment I personally don't care if the person is pro or non-pro.  I think before the LA party even happened there was talk about having different colored name tags for those interested in pro cuddlers and those interested in only non-pro cuddlers.

Seems to be a Herculean feat to get an equal number of girls to match the guys already so the exclusion of pros could be a tough sell. Up to the group organizer I suppose.  To my recollection FireandBlue is a pro cuddler and she's hosting a party this weekend so maybe she can shed some light on how her event went.

  • Yea I don't care if they are pro or non pro either
  • Well maybe if someone explained the purpose of these cuddling parties?
is it to spread the awareness of cuddling?   is it to introduce clients to pros?

  • @greenearth I haven't been to any such parties but so far I have the impression that these events are meant to provide a safe environment and learning opportunity for platonic cuddlers. Often there is at least one certified cuddler coordinating the event. Pros can find potential clients. Non-pros can find cuddle buddies. Everyone can enjoy themselves and learn. Seems like a win-win.

     @rollypolly, exactly!

I'm just reading this thread and laughing because the reality is absolutely the opposite of what is being posted here.  There still seems to be all of this negative about professional cuddlers from a handful of people who post here on such a very regular basis, I'm starting to wonder why they spent so much time and energy and effort on something they seem to dislike so much?  So odd.

My event was a mix of professional, non-professional, cuddle curious, clients and non-clients. Two of my girlfriends from outside of this site showed up out of curiosity.  Perfect gathering, couldn't have asked for a better outcome! So much food!  Lots of friendships made and most important was the open and honest conversations, heart felt connections, and lots of sharing of personal stories.

Stop judging "pros" like everybody is just out for the money.  THE reason I spent close to 20 hours planning, organizing and putting this together is to build a local community of like-minded people… And we are very much on our way with that! A lot of ideas were shared among us.

I invested a very small amount of my own money out of pocket, but $30 per person mostly covered the room. And the amount of food everybody showed up with and the friendships that are being made and connections being solidified face to face was priceless.

My new baby kitten who is just five weeks old also attended the party and was a big hit!

If you have so many negative things to say all the time, why are you even here?  It's truly making these forums a place I don't want to spend my time and invest my energy.

I will be sharing ideas and information with @I_am_polylover,  but in all honesty I couldn't have asked for a better group and a better experience for our first meeting! We are definitely going to do this again!

  • @Fireandblue you're in a position where you can serve the greater good and educate many on the site about parties like this. Some people are just confused and their comments come from that place of confusion. Please don't judge us for not understanding but rather educate us so that we can all grow from this opportunity. Let's keep our energy positive :-)
  • "You can't mix pros with non pros at the same event."  Watch me!  As I said previously, if you want things done your way, then organize your own cuddle party.
  • Didn't that guy end up in jail or something?

First of all, I'm on the East Coast it's 2:45 AM. The only reason I'm awake is because I am feeding a five week old baby kitten.

What is so "confusing" about an event where people who are like-minded and seeking out platonic cuddling are gathered?

It's not my responsibility to educate or share work from the countless hours of my own time I spent reading up, planning, gathering information, researching hotel locations and organizing. if you go to the same extent of putting in the time of several hours… Up to almost 20 hours like I did… and like @I_am_polylover is doing with his own event, I'd be happy to take my own time and share,  but it is absolutely ridiculous to request that I spend my free time and energy here educating YOU.

Host your own party. One without "pros". One  that you put all of your OWN TIME and thought process into organizing. When you put your own money down on the room and food. When you spend countless hours emailing, calling and texting and getting it all just right in order to bring a dozen different people together into the same room. Then maybe I'd be inclined.  But not when there is a small handful of people who are constantly naysaying here or putting cheap shots out against "pros". No.

What an entitled thing for you to say… to be honest, that it would be my responsibility.  I actually have my own life and family and responsibilities outside of these message boards ya know?  You are free to go do all of the same work I did and figure it out yourself, you are a big boy.

I'm happy to share my time and work with Polylover because he is putting in the effort.  I'm growing completely exhausted watching a handful of people sit here playing keyboard warriors and demand that everyone explain it to them. Or prove them wrong. It's actually not that hard to figure out… Treat everyone with respect and value their time and energy, "pro" or not.

Everyone paid the same $30 at my event. There were no "pros" or non-pros in the room for the five or six hours that we spent together. We are all equal and human... THAT is the only "secret" I have to share.

  • Awww that sucks. He was such a hero.

I remember that all like it was yesterday. Jim also remembers.
  • it was said in an earlier post why cant people see the difference between pro and non pro cuddling. I don't think its that people don't know the difference, I just don't think people care or really place that much importance on it. I wouldn't mistake non hyper-vigilance about something as ignorance. Not everybody feels the need to push things so much
  • @Fireandblue We all want love and understanding, I'm really confused as to why you're so upset. We should all come together as a community and help each other understand and grow :-)
  • @pmvines how many pro cuddlers have you seen so far ?   Wondering if you haven't noticed a difference between them and a woman who cuddles with you for free ?

You've been suggesting too much is made of that difference and it makes me wonder how you think that

Speaking of staying up all night with kitties, I'm volunteering at the OC Pet Expo again today. Plenty of lost souls to save and furry friends to be made. If you're in SoCal and not doing anything, come on out :-)
